Summary: Go Elsewhere to find a book
Review: Elsewhere is just as the title exclaims...GO elsewhere to find a book...I hated this book so...the characters were so fake. The monolouge was plain. She did this, he did that...me too!...yes...oh man, couldn't the author have made this more lyrical. Worst of all, some parts of the book didn't make sense, it lacked in outline and was mysteriously like reading two stories that didn't have a clue on what was to happen. Pretty dull read.

Summary: An introductory comment
Review: I'm rather proud of this book, but I can't take all of the credit. Terri Windling and several other writers helped create the world; I merely found a number of the characters and let them tell their story. Though this was written to stand alone, I enjoyed the characters so much that I wrote a sequel, _Nevernever_

Summary: if you liked elsewhere....
Review: If you liked elsewhere you are my new friend. This book was a very good book. It shows how when you are traveling through worlds you have to stick to your gut and go with what you think is right. I loved the magic and the fantasy about the whole thing. If you liked elsewhere you should read the sequel called Nevernever which is equally good

Summary: Just a Simple, Fun Book
Review: Nothing epic happens in this book. The plot is simple. The characters interesting, but not outstanding. This is just a simple, fun book, good for those weekend afternoons when don't feel like trudging through a 900 page fantasy novel. This 200 page "quickie" will do just fine.

Summary: I am glad I don't live in Bordertown!
Review: One of the elves out of Bordertown is taking runaways to a place halfway between the real world and a magical world, a place where elf and human gangs take over the streets, where the town is packed with elves and humans alike. Throw in some halfies (half human-half elf) and you have a strange place indeed. Ron is one of those people who is searching for Tony, his brother who has run away from the family. He makes friends with a strange mixture of elves, halfies, and humans while living at Castle Pup, a place I would hate to call home. He works at a bookstore called Elsewhere, which is unlike any bookstore I have been in. Mooner, a half-elf biker dude with an attitude, is like a brother to Ron and helps him stay alive in this weird environment. Some people want to turn Castle Pup into a nightclub to earn much needed funds. Mooner lights Castle Pup on fire because he did not want to see that happen. Ron tries to put the fire out but will he get it out and will he find his brother, Tony? Read to know t

Summary: Absolutely terrific
Review: The Borderlands series is one of the best series out there. I'm only sorry that I didn't find it sooner, as one of the original books has gone out of print. The immediacy of the situation in Bordertown is incredible, as is the spectacular writing of all the authors involved. Elsewhere is a terrific continuation of the tone of the original anthologies (not surprising, since Shetterly was a part of those). Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys fantasy with a dose of reality.
