Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Boring with little depth
Review: The first book starts off well, but goes downhill thereafter. There is very little character development and one develops no empathy for the hero.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Deathworld Trilogy is #1
Review: This book is the best I have ever read.. I also re-read it every 2 years or so.. It makes me very sad when I get near the end of it and will have to wait another 2 years..

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Pure Pleasure
Review: This book was excellent, it was it had everything. but the reason I only gave it 4 stars was because Harry Harrison kept writing a phrase over and over again. In a certian situation jason dinAlt would say something with much more- whatever- than he felt. That annoyed me.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great science fiction literature
Review: This was an excellant book, and a very worthy read for any science-fiction enthusiast. Jason dinAlt, the main character is a quick witted, level headed, gambler, faced with many challenges, including a planet that is dedicated to killing humans, and being made a slave, countless times. He always finds a very entertaining way to worm his way out of the stickiest of situations

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Read this book over and over
Review: When I was in high school, I reread this book until it fell almost apart. I continue to reread it every few years. The main character is blessed with great mental fortitude and resourcefulness. Each of the books in the trilogy chronicles his adventures trying to stay alive on a different planet, each one extremely treacherous (and therefore a "deathworld") in its own way. I particularly remember the planet where he frees himself from slavery in a "Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court" way. Brilliant! Too bad that it is out of print as I write this, I think it is one of Harrison's best.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Action, action, action...
Review: When I was much younger (in my 20's) I read this trilogy. I received the book as a part of my SciFi book club choices. It was so good that it made it's way quickly through my circle of friends. This book gives just enough intro and detail while still providing nearly non stop action. If you are ever afforded the opportunity to read this trilogy, especially if you are new to SciFi, I highly recommend it!
