Summary: Excellent
Review: Excellent work with fantasy in today's society. THe intensity of Justin clearly felt.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Definite worth your time!
Review: From the start to it's blazing finish, this book will have you chomping at the bit in anticipation for the next volume. David Baldwin has what it takes to flesh out the Dark Fantasy genre, you can tell he paid attention to his mother while she penned her masterpieces! Wasn't able to put it down until I had finished it from cover to cover!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Exciting, different from expectations, what's next?
Review: History with a twist, fantasy with a punch! Looking forward to next book! Love the flashbacks, they explain a lot. Where to next? What new characters?

Summary: I adored it
Review: I absolutely adored this book. It completely wraps you into itself, and i stayed up past 5 am reading it. I simply was unable to put it down. I have been eagerly waiting for a sequel since i bought the book a year ago!

Summary: The second book
Review: I asked Margaret Weis about the second book (see www.staroftheguardians.com for her addie) and she said that due to the death of her son David Baldwin, she would not continue the series, as it was more his work than hers, and it would not feel proper to use his ideas. It was his project. There is a prequil or similar called Testament of the dragon, but i think it's only available in America, as i cannot obtain it in the wonderful world of Oz here.

Summary: It was good
Review: I enjoyed this book because it was engaging and character development coninued throughout. My only complaint is that it needed to explain things a bit better.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: refreshingly diffrent
Review: I found myself unable to put the book down. Once again Wies and company have shown the superb ability to explore diffrent angles of the fantasy wold. This book makes a wonderful begining to a series,I only hope it goes longer then the usual trilogy. The darkness of Justins soul and his struggle are exellent.

Summary: I like this book
Review: i have not finished it yet, but i like it so far

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Leaves you wanting more.
Review: I have read several of Margaret Weis' books and I have enjoyed every one. This, like the others, sticks with you long after you have read it. The book reads at a fast past and draws you into the world of these characters. You can feel Justin's struggle with himself and the dragon he calls master. It is masterfully written and I look forward to the next book.
