Summary: The writings not that great but the story is ...
Review: A trip to the Carlsbad Caverns to relax turns into a dangerous fame of cat and mouse for the three aliens and their three human friends. At the gift shop Liz sees the man who shot her teo years ago in the Crashdown café - and now Liz is running for her life. The shooter, Morton, is up to something devious and dangerous, and Max and the others are driven to find out what he has hidden in the black briefcase. This is one of the most dangerous adventures for the five Roswell teens because Morton has a gun and he is only too happy to use it.

I found this book difficult to get into at first because Greg Cox has a very unusual way of writing. The overall story though is both interesting, and action packed. If you really like the TV series then you should give this book a go - I took two days to read it, but it was worth it in the end when I finally put it down. There are facts that are wrong, but overall Cox has tried to remain faithful to the TV series.

If you can't stand this book, don't let it stop you from reading "No good deed". The books are very different, and if you don't enjoy this book you are bound to like the next one in the series.

Summary: A really great story but... when did it happen?
Review: Having been a huge fan of the TV series, (Taped every episode, bought the Dido theme song) and the original 10 books by Melinda Metz, (got them all in one shopping trip) I jumped at this one as soon as I saw it. And what a story, a trip the gang take to get away from all their troubles, leads them to the man that inadvertently caused it all in the first place by shooting Liz. Greg Cox is definitely a huge fan of the show, and it does shine through in his writing, showing mentions of several key events from series; one and two, not to mention the little (and not so little) alien tricks that were used during the story. (The 're-painting' the cars bit was very cool I thought.) There were a few disappointments with the book though, ie, Valenti, Kyle, and Tess weren't present, and were only mentioned in passing. (Not that I missed Tess all that much anyway.) And then there was the confusion, on my part at least, as to where this story could have happened. As the lack of said 'blonde and unliked alien' suggests that this occurred after she zipped off home, yet Alex is still very much alive and kicking. Still, this confusion didn't stop me from thoroughly enjoying this book, far from it actually, as Alex provides several interesting points with his usual perspective to everything throughout the book.
Vote now folks, did Tess take a solo sabbatical during the second season, or has Greg Cox had a premontion of Isabel's love for Alex restoring him to life?

Summary: Published Fanfic
Review: I am a huge Roswell fan, so I was eager to read the new novel. Greg Cox has written many excellent Star Trek books, so I was excited to see what he would do with Roswell. Loose Ends, however, was not up to par and I came away disgusted. The story was so bad it left me in fits of laughter, and the author seemed to have no concept of the show. The trip to Carlsbad takes place during the summer of 2001, but Alex is still living. At the same time, Tess is gone. Cox must have known something of the writer's plans for late season two, but chose not to incorporate all of them.

This novel is fanfiction you have to purchase, nothing more. I'd suggest visiting one of the multitudes of Roswell websites to find higher-quality stories for free.

Summary: When is this set again...
Review: I could not be more of a die-hard roswell fan, so I jumped at the chance to read this book. But, I, like some of the other reviewers, found that I could not for the life of me understand when exactly it was supposed to be set. Tess was gone, yet Alex was alive...huh? And also, I LOVED how Michael called Maria babe, (I am a candy girl) but hated how there wasn't much of them in this book. I s'pose No. 2 is about them anyway. Overall a definite read for all fans of the TV series!

Summary: Roswell Rules Again!
Review: I got this book the first day it was available and finished it that night. THIS BOOK RULES! Even though it is more closely related to the TV series than the original book series "Roswell High".

I personally enjoyed this book for a few reasons. 1) Max/Liz, Michael/Maria, and Isabel/Alex get closer relationships 2) There are alot of past questions answered in alot of detail 3) NO THREATS FROM TESS! 4) We finally find out what was up with Liz's shooter and the handprint.

Roswell rules! This book, the TV series, and the original book series were great and I loved them all. I look foreward to reading more from Greg Cox, seeing more eps, and reading all the other book Melinda Metz has written. ROSWELL FOREVER!

Summary: It was....OK
Review: I guess my first mistake was trying to read/enjoy this book right after reading Melinda Metz's Roswell series. I just couldn't get into his odd style of writing. The book wasn't THAT bad granted, It was just extremely unimaginative. Cox just took all the traits of the characters from the show and his own enjoyment/memories of Carlsbad Caverns (he eerily knew too much about them) and combined them with the first episode of Roswell, and wrote a bland story that took forever to go somewhere.

I must say though, by the climax, the book was OK, when we eventually got there. I think if Cox wasn't so concerned with re creating the feel of the Televisions show ROSWELL, and put more of himself and his own wants into the book, and it's characters, it would have been more convincing. It was just a cheesy rip off, (Which wasn't even that accurate) with little to none of Cox's own imagination. It is true, I have read better fan fiction by people online. It's like he just wanted to make money off Roswell. What were they thinking??

Summary: It was alright....
Review: I have seen every episode of Roswell, Its the best show on TV. The book starts off in the middle of the 2nd season. The story was good but the characters said and did stuff they never would do on the show. I can tell Greg Coz has only seen a few episodes. He put to much emphasize on the Tabasco sauce, They(max, michael, isabel) don't drink(<-- they eat it with stuff) it to calm them selves down. Also he said that Liz got shot when she was seventeen, but she got shot at 16. I guess that could be typo. Another thing Michael always takes claim for Maria ideas. I always found that funny on the show. But in the book when he's trying to help Max to overcome his problem; he tells Max that it was Maria's idea. That's the 1st time I seen that. Also Maria says Czechoslovakian to many time and in front of max, isabel, and Michael, She usually just does that with Liz. Overall the book was interesting. The story was real good. Max and Liz are a couple. Which is cooL. A must read for all Roswell Fans. I can't wait for the next one because it will be written by other people.

Summary: Roswell- Loose Ends
Review: I just recently read the book Roswell- Loose Ends, and I thought it was a great book. Greg Cox was able to take the characters of Roswell and put them in an edge-of-your-seat story. Now some people think that he mistaked some of the details of the show in his book. For example, they didn't drink tobasco sauce. That was the only thing that was wrong, and if that is the only thing people can dwell on then proves what a great book this is. If you love the show Roswell then you will love Roswell- Loose Ends By Greg Cox.
