Summary: Loved both books but thought Jen and Thib need to grow up.
Review: Good reading but, how can a great assasin in training be so clueless as Jen is regarding Thib? Loved the 1st book and hope the next one returns it's focus to SciFi not aristocratic bed hopping.

Summary: Laugh out loud funny!
Review: Groell delights readers once again with her latest escapade involving the incorrigible Jenifleur and her ever-present, long-suffering partner Thibault. I was pleased to see the unique relationship between the deadly duo slowly begin to develop in this second volume. Thibault has, in his own charming yet unaware manner, quickly become one of my favorite characters in fantasy. His shock and chagrin at his beloved Jenny's mishaps and dalliances is simply laugh out loud funny! I find myself quoting passages to friends just to see their reactions. Two big thumbs up to Anne Lesley Groell for her remarkable book and I look forward to further adventures with anticipation and excitement

Summary: there are flaws, but this is still one of my favorite books
Review: I admit, there are a few character flaws in this books, but it's still such an engaging novel with a great plot, that really makes up for the few flaws. I feel that I can really related to Thibualt. Haven't we all felt for someone, with out them feeling the same thing? (I may be reaching here...) Ms. Groell really amazes me, and I hope that she comes out with the next book in the Cloak and Dagger series soon.

Summary: I really enjoyed it
Review: I belive this is one of my favorite books. I acendentally bought this book not realizing that it was a sequal until it was too late, but I decied to read it anyways and I loved it. The chemestry between Jen and Thib is wonderful and I found myself laughing all the time at some quip or witty remark. I'm looking forward to the next one.

Review: I liked the first book a lot. But this one is a bit lacking. As Jen and Thib's first real job I figured it would take a while. But I really didn't want it to turn into a mystery instead of an assasin's tale. I liked the first one for being more the latter than the former. I hope the next book is more like the first.

Review: I liked this book because it kept my attention. But I think that the book could have been written better. Is there going to be a third book or was this the last book in the series?

Summary: Worse than the first book, which is pretty bad.
Review: I only read this because I bought both books at the same time. What a mistake!! This novel had all the flaws of the first book and more i.e. a really boring plot. The characters are even less likeable in this book than the first. I am going to try and return these books if I can!!

Summary: A book, that didn't live up to its promise.
Review: I rather enjoyed Anvil of the Sun, and I was looking forward to the sequel. I liked Jenifleur and Thibault and wanted the chemistry between them to become more.However, Bridge of Valor, though rather a good adventure in itself, frustrated me because I found I couldn't identify with Jenifleur or Thibault anymore. The former, becames a woman who seems to have no sense of honor, tumbling into the arms of anyman except Thibault. The latter is sickening in his dedication and love for Dear Jenifleur. A great adventure that turned sour for me. I won't be reading the sequel.

Summary: My favorite new author
Review: I saw this book in the bookstore and when I read the back and found it was the sequel, I had to find the original. At first, I was somewhat shocked by Jenifleur's behavior, but I quickly came to love both characters. I just yesterday finished reading Bridge of Valor for the second time. I enjoyed the mix of characters in this novel. It was fascinating to find out what this noble or that noble was going to do next. I can't wait for the next books to come out. My only regret was that I didn't find her books much later so that I could've read more of them before stopping to wait.

Review: This book rocks. Throw in well thought-out fantasy, interpersonal politics, intrigue, magic, love and comedic jiggery-pokery and you have three quarters of this book. Throw in perfectly-described, beautifully breathaking scenery and you have it all. A truly fun romp, pushed along by great characters, who keep developing along the way. If you like mindless hack'n'slash, forget it; if you want intelligent writing, this is the book for you.
