Rating: Summary: Great Fun Review: A solidly written, nicely plotted, well told series, with engaging characters, an disingenuous heroine and the standard elements of romance, adventure, mystery and excitement. The real hook is the main character, Sheila, portrayed as an ordinary girl who gets sucked into an alternate dimension of magic, unicorns, sorcerers and righteous, sword wielding women rebels. What young girl does not find this a delicious tale? A plain old fun read, addictive and cheesy, but better written than many and with some very good interpersonal development between characters.
Rating: Summary: It's about time!! Review: I fell in love with this series after only being able to get my hands on book #4, and that was over 15 years ago!! I'm SO GLAD they decided to reprint the first two books in the series so I now know how Sheila's adventures began -- even as an adult I am enjoying reading these books! I hope the whole series is reprinted -- and very soon!! :)
Rating: Summary: its got magic, spunk and a bit of romance Review: I'm buying this for my sister for her 24th birthday! When we were young we read this series, I used to have to order it in from my local bookstore as no one else knew of it then. She is going to be so thrilled, we have read and re read the series, dosn't matter your age - what modern day girl dosn't want to ride a unicorn, weild a sword, practise magic and maybe kiss a warrior!
Rating: Summary: A Wonderfully Imaginative Journey Review: I've been interested in mythology and fantasy writing for years. This book is easily one of the best I've read. The perfect companion for anyone who loves to read of things that just "might" be true. I'd recomend this book to anyone with a love of adventure and enjoys working their imagination.
