Rating: Summary: Cody, Rebel Leader Review: ... In the year 2057 a boy stands against the evil CCR, The Confederation of Consolidated Republics. His name? Cody Pierce, or known to the CCR as White Fox. The CCR thinks that he is one of the best pupils in their "brainwashing" classes, but he is really planning to save his fellow political prisoners and escape. Will Cody liberate the camp and defeat the CCR? There's only one-way to find out. Read the Book!!!This was another one of Gary Paulsen's classic adventure/survival books. He has made Cody able to survive on his own. Its adventure because one time when Cody was bruised and sore he helped a fellow escape-e not become dehydrated by putting a rock in each of there mouths. He also, when they were thirsty, cut open a cactus to drink the liquid inside. This is an example of an adventure book because Cody blows up an entire army base!!! (Not the one he is trapped in) I would strongly recommend this book to anybody that is a Gary Paulsen fan, or anybody that likes adventure/survival books.
Rating: Summary: The Fight for Freedom Review: ... A fourteen-year-old boy, Cody Pierce, is living in 2057 with nothing to lose. In his time the United States has been almost completely taken over by a faction group called the CCR (Confederation of Consolidated Republics). He is had been living in an internment camp for children for 18 months and was very well trusted by his superiors. Little did the adults know that Cody was really planning to make an escape with another prisoner, which was part of the remaining American Rebels. So Cody and the other prisoner, Toni, make there way across the wasteland left of US soil toward the American Rebels base. When they arrive the leader of the Americans doesn't think Cody is ready for combat, big mistake. Cody then is captured once again only this time by a sub group of the rebels. The sub group is headed by one of Cody's old friends before the takeover, Franklin. Does Cody stop the CCR? You'll have to read it to find out! This book had a very well constructed plot personally. The way that Paulsen lets the reader get such a realistic sense is just to me well thought out. Also I think that the personality that Paulsen has created for Cody is just ingenious for this scenario. The fact that Cody is a fast learner, quick at making decisions, and someone who just wouldn't give up in any situation. For example when Toni teaches Cody how to fly the plane she says (pg. 81) " I'm impressed, Cody. You're a quick learner". This kind of personality helps the reader also to guessing what would happen if the book were to continue. I also enjoyed the suspense of Cody always mentioning that he had a serious score to settle with the CCR. The whole time I just couldn't put it down because I always wanted to know what happens next with Cody and regaining back the United States.

Rating: Summary: A Violent Young Adult Novel: The White Fox Chronicles Review: Bringing together the three books titled "Escape," "Return," and "Breakout," this young adult novel is set in the year 2057. The world is a far different and more hostile place. The United States of America no longer exists, broken apart by the evil tyranny of the Confederation of Consolidated Republics known as the CCR. The CCR controls most of the former United States through their jack booted thugs as well as former Americans turned traitors. Prison camps are everywhere as the CCR seeks to further control the dwindling population. Enter Cody Pierce, a fourteen-year-old boy who has had to grow up the hard way. Confined in a prison camp by the evil Colonel Sidoron, he is secretly plotting his escape. He has lulled the commandant and his troops into believing that he too has joined their ranks. Bestowed with the nickname " the white fox" for his actions and blonde hair, he soon shows them his true nature. He has a secret agenda and plans to make good use of their belief that he is one of them. Soon he makes his first escape from the clutches of the CCR and begins a journey that will take him full circle back to this camp. He will fight for survival repeatedly and be forced to kill and kill again. This novel, while written, is extremely violent in nature and downright rough in spots. This novel is currently on my local school district's recommended reading list for middle school, which covers grades 6 thru 8. I'm not sure that is appropriate and that it wouldn't be better suited to an older grade level. Like any other novel or story, whether the work is appropriate or not depends on the maturity of the reader. As a parent, I read the books my children are assigned and would strongly caution parents to read several sections of this 280-page novel if not all of it to get a feel for the character as well as the violence within this novel. This is a very good book that is simply not appropriate for some children.
Rating: Summary: CCR RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: Cody a kid who is stuck in a time when America has fallen. The year is 2057, about 54 years after now. There are nukes and many arsenals. The Republics blown up the White House and the Pentagon. Then one by one the states fell. first 50 then 49 then 48 then 47 then 46 and etc. The U.S. are enslved and badly treated. Cody gts out of camp with a captured pilot who knows very vital info. The two set out for the base somewhere on earth. When they get there or if they even can or if they get out of camp or read the book or else....... This book is like the bomb. When u pick it up it won't stop blowing good and super cool scenes at you. There is a whole lot of killin though. Cody ,(maybe white fox) kill the new republic soldiers. Cody usualy blows them up or stabbs them or shoot them to death or incinerate the into a puddle. he does not chop off their heads. There is a lot of detail too. Something like "her head was swollen twice the size and her broken arm was twisted and dried blood was all over her body". There are many other very descriptive phrases. When you finish the book write another review of how you liked it.
Rating: Summary: Great Book Review: Fourteen year old Cody who lives in a prison guarded by CCR (Confederation of Consolidated Republics) solders. When a US rebel pilot, whose name is Toni, is brought there, Cody goes and rescues her and Cody's amazing journey begins. During the journey they meet other Americans and CCR people. When Cody meets Rachel at a farm, she agrees to help him since at the time he was injured. Later he meets his friend before he went to the prison. His friend Franklin gave him a place to stay for a while. After that he goes to try to complete his plan. Along the way he finds some allies and gets there help, but first he has to do something for them. The story is about loyalty, trust and most of all friendship. Through out the book Cody makes friends that help him, and teach him stuff. Cody learns fast and almost never forgets. That's why the CCR called him the White fox. Cody has a lot against the CCR, and all of them have to do with friends and revenge. This story is mostly action and violence.

Rating: Summary: White Fox Chronicles: Escape, Return, Breakout Review: I think White Fox Chronicles is an awesome book! I like very thing about it. The best things in the book that make it so good are the suspense, violence, and the revenge. I like the chapter when Cody is at Luther's camp place, and the CCR comes and invades the place, and then Cody explodes all of the camp. Another part that I like is how they escape form the CCR camp, and how they describe Luther on the fence. I also like the part when Cody and the pilot are at the republican farm and Cody and the pilot get put in the little jail place. Then Cody picks the lock and the fat farmer comes and tries to get Cody back in to their little cell and then the pilot jumps on to his back, then gets tossed and Cody grabs the pitch fork and stabs the fat farmer in the belly. Another cool part is when Cody got shot and Rachel, a girl he met after he exploded Luther's camp. Anyway, he and Rachel met these tribe people and they showed them their secret place. I think that is neat because CCR are too lazy to clime mountains. Rachel gets on my nerves. She is so annoying. Sometimes she's ok. One of my favorites is Cody's dog Max. Cody got Max when Luther's camp exploded. Max is loyal, trust worthy, and nice. Later on in the book Cody meets these people who are training kids to take explosives and other equipment from the CCR. He learned a lot more things about self-defense. Cody does mission with them, like what he did with Luther. He also learns more about their equipment so he can use it for the CCR. One day he leaves them and also with their equipment, to go agents the CCR. Now you have to read it so you can figure out the ending.
