Review: This is one of my all-time favorite books. I've read and reread The Steel of Raithskar and The Glass of Dyskornis about a dozen times (I've only read the Bronze of Eddarta maybe eight). I was given the book as a gift about seven years ago, and at the time I'd only read a handful of Science Fiction books and hadn't read any fantasy other than Tolkien. That all changed because of the Gandalara Cycle. It's a tragedy that Randall Garrett was unable to finish the work, and a mystery why Vicki Ann Heydron has never written anything else. Has she?
