Summary: BEST SERIES I HAVE EVER READ
Review: I have the fortune to own all seven of these books. I also own and have read some twenty other sci-fi series. This one is the best out of any of them. The fight scenes and travels of Rikardon suck you into the book. When I first got the first three books (purely by accident) I stayed up all night and read all three. If you can find all seven books, hold on to them. You wont regret reading and then re-reading them.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Absolutely perplexing...A book that really makes you wonder.
Review: I picked up the first volume in a yard sale, and couldn't put it down. The entire series is amongst my most treasured titles, and I feel lucky to have found them all. PLEASE re-release these titles (preferably all in one hardcover) so others can enjoy!

Summary: A series that will never get bumped from my bookshelves!

Summary: One of the luckiest finds I ever stumbled upon.
Review: I picked up this book out of mild curiosity in a used bookstore, never having heard of either the series or the authors before. Buying it was one of the best things I ever did. The skill of these writers is fantastic, and I recommend it to anyone. The story grabs you right in, and you aren't just reading about Gandalara, you're THERE, tasting and smelling and feeling. I've spent a lot of time trying to track down the sequels, and don't plan on giving up yet! A great read.

Summary: This series is UNFORGETTABLE!!
Review: I read this series when I was in middle school. I never forgot the name of the series. I have forgotten the story intricacies but I KNOW they name. I was fortunate enough to pick up the entire series at my local library. It was a 3 book volume at the time. An excellent read.

Summary: Exceptionally good read
Review: My husband and i, always avid scifi readers, devoured all seven of these books in the early 1980's. At that time, these books .. this story .. were among the most satisfying i had ever read (that august catagory includes the likes of Tolkien's stuff, the Dune books, etc). We moved recently and in the process of readying ourselves for that upheaval, we went through the bookcases and tossed books we'll never open again (gasp! heresy! ). During that process, however, i came across these books and sank to the carpet, caught immediately. Now i'm fully immersed in this world again and lost in this great story.

I can't believe they're out of print. That's just wrong.

Summary: "One of the best series I've ever read!!!"
Review: The Gandalara Cycle I is by far one of the most captivating stories that I have ever read. I read my first S.F./Fantasy novel in the summer of 1974. I have been an avid fan of the subject ever since. This one goes at the top of the list along with stories by, McAffery, Heineline, Assimov, Tolkien and Eddings.

Summary: Excellent and thought provoking series
Review: These books depict a journey both physical and spiritual. The hero, Rikardon, and his partner Tarani make many discoveries about themselves and the world they inhabit. Many of the discoveries are a surprise and I won't give them away.

Suffice to say this series is very well written with well fleshed out characters (both human and non), a good historical background woven into the story, and a fast paced and detailed storyline which makes the book(s) hard to put down. They should not be out of print.
