Rating: Summary: A wonderful book that excites, delights, & opens imagination Review: The Adventures of Superman authorized by George F. Lowther is a highly recommended book for children and adults of all ages. It brings forth a realistic fictional plot. Superman "The Man of Steel", was the first of its kind to be written about in comics, and has amazed the many people who have read his daring rescues and his incredible feats against the most powerful supervillians. This book summerizes him as a child adult and as a reporter, as well as Superman. This book describes his first mystery, his first news article, and his first appearance as Superman.
Rating: Summary: A Great Book Review: The Adventures of Superman By: George Lowther Reviewed by: C. Cho P.5 The Adventures of Superman, by George Lowther is basically the story of how Superman came to be the legend he is. It's similar to the famous Superman movies starring Christopher Reeve. It starts off in the planet Krypton and eventually the infant Superman's spaceship crashes on Earth and the Kents, who will soon become his parents, discover him. His new life begins as Clark Kent. This book took me through the many things Clark went through. For example, the discovery of his super powers, the death of his father, his new job as a reporter in the Daily Planet located in Metropolis, his problems with a co-worker named Lois, and an exciting mystery of ghost ships and enemy agents. I had a great time reading this book because the author made me feel a strong personal connection with Clark. For example, when his dad died, I could feel all of Clark's anger, frustration, and sadness. I felt like I was by his side, going through whatever hardships or good times he was going through. Also, this book always had something exciting and fun going on. This novel is full of action, yet it is also meangingful because it lets the reader know what is going on in Clark's head. I think it is important for all books to let the reader know what is happening in the mind of the characters in addition to their environment. My favorite part of the book was when Clark discovered his first super power, x-ray vision, when he was 13 years old. At first it was of course awkward and maybe a little scary for him. But when he learned to control it, it became very useful. This part of the book was exciting because this was when Clark found out he was from a different planet. This is when the book picks up speed and starts to get even more exciting!

Rating: Summary: Please don't be fooled by the cover... Review: This has got to be one of the best books I have ever read. I took one look at the cover, and laughed... but then I opened and thumbed a few pages... and ended up renting it from my local library. There's something to be said about a book that can have you toting it around all day just so you can read it again at the very next chance you get. But it does. Some may not enjoy the slow pace of the story, but you should wish that the plots in the comics were this good. If you ever, and I mean EVER have the chance to pick this book up, I suggest you do so.
Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT book! Review: This is easily one of the best Superman books written. Clark Kent, as well as Superman, are heroic, classic, and timeless. I recommend this book (if you can find it) to anyone who enjoys a story from a time when heroes were HEROES, not super-powered people instead of heroes.
