Rating: Summary: Great Series gone wrong Review: I love the Dark Horse series, always have. Dark Horse and Lightening's Daughter were amazing. Valorian was passable, and City, well, it looked really promising. The old charachters were not true to type, and the new charachters... Hebert didn't do enough to really potray the complex charachter of Kelene, and the plot was very generic. The quality of writing also suffered. I was so disappointed with this book that I don't plan on reading Winged Magic, as Herbert seems to be groping for material and quality.
Rating: Summary: great story, first one read though Review: I somehow stumbled onto this series and began with book three, City of the Sorcerors. I planned on reading the book again, as i do w/ most books i read. but, the book was lost, and i i could not finish, because i could not remember the titla, i recently found it and i am excited to read the entire series. :)
Rating: Summary: Good book for non-english readers. Review: The book is very good for non-english readers with medium level of English language. It has a thrilling plot, the language is rather easy (for camparison: I wrote down 20 words from 1 page while reading "The X-files" and 3 words from 1 page while reading this book). There aren't very many rare words (that I couldn't manage to find in my dictionary). I don't regret the time, I spend while reading this book.
Rating: Summary: Poorly written and cliched! Review: This Herbert lady seems to have jacked her setting from Mercedes Lackey and her writing style from Tamora Pierce. That is to say, THIS BOOK SUCKS!!!!!!!!! She also uses a lot of words from Irish Celtic Mythology, such as "Moy Tura". SHE TOOK MEDB'S NAME AND GAVE IT TO A GUY! A DEAD GUY! THIS IS INTOLERABLE!!!!!!!!! Basically, DON'T READ THIS!
