Review: And they said "Theatre is dead." This novel reminds me of the "medison shows" I saw as a kid, and the chase continues from the first two novels. I can't wait for the next in the siries.

Review: Can a travelling group of interplanetary players make it on a world where theatre is taboo? The answer makes a fun and interesting read! As a study in "what makes an actor tick" and "backstage at the playhouse", this book should be read by anyone who works in 'tech' or has friends in theatre (and has problems in figuring out how they think!). The book may disappoint fans of Clarke, Hogan, and Forward, but they really should give it a chance. The story is fun and human with its share of stereotypes (loudmouth leading lady, sexy soubrette, organized organizer), but there are also some good, genuine, down-to-brass tacks periods of emotion, snappy banter and copious punning. I've reread this book several times, and it's still a fun story! (Mr. Stasheff, if you see this, IT'S TIME FOR THE NEXT ADVENTURE of the Star Company!)

Review: I just purchased all three of the Starship Troupers series -- they were wonderful!!! How disappointing to discover there are no more. Mr. Stasheff, please consider writing more -- you have left us hanging! What about the Man in Gray, Elector Rudders, Prudence, Ramou, Horace and the rest? AAAAAGHH!!!

Review: I loved this book! The series is great, providing a wonderful insight into theatrical culture for outsiders like me. I only have one teeny, tiny complaint. There is a constant foreshadowing of events to come, which we still haven't seen yet. Is Mr. Stasheff hinting at another book? If so, WRITE IT, PLEASE! I'm dying of anticipation!
