Summary: A totally one-sided book!
Review: The story looked promising, the characters looked good...but the Bazil Broketail series failed to keep me interested for long. The stories are rediculously one-sided; evil never wins. A good story has evil "winning the battle, but losing the war." From the three books I have read, evil doesn't even win a battle! BORING! Plus, the story introduces characters and either kills them off a page later, or totally forgets about them! If the character isn't important, either leave him out entirely, or don't fully describe his name, age or job, otherwise the book gets confusing, as you woun't be able to tell who truly IS important. The politics of the book are confusing as well. Never have I seen so many legions and empires described in a series. I skipped over many sections of the book because they were so dull and/or confusing. Here's one more gripe: the lead characters are invincible. Incidents occur (mostly to the benefit of the main characters) that are totally unrealistic. In one novel, after killing a monster, Relkin (one of the main characters) reloads, aims, and fires a crossbow at another monster before it even had time to lift its arm to throw its spear. It take at LEAST 2.5 seconds to load a crossbow, which is more than enough time for the monster to throw it's spear! I gave the book 2 stars because the character development was okay, but other than that, I only recommend this book for the "read before bedtime" crowd, or insomniacs that need to sleep.

Summary: OK story but lacking in the creativity.
Review: The story of Bazil the Dragon and his boy is a time told story of good against evil. Unfortunatly, Rowley doesn't put enough description in his writing. It is a good fast read well acceptable for younger readers, but its predictability causes the mature reader to lose interest

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: O.K. - Only for die-hard Fantasy lovers.
Review: The subject matter was very appealing to me and I think that kept me going through it. The relationship between the boy and the dragon (Bazil) is humorus at times. I was able to finish it and may read on but it is not one of the top series I have read. If you LOVE fantasy, you'll like it but if characters, setting and story flow are important to you I would look elsewhere. It didn't keep my interest as well as say the "Guardian of the Flame" series by Joel Rosenburg or any of David Edding's classic series. It's actually sort of depressing and dreary.

Summary: Broketail series
Review: The whole Broketail series is INCREDIBLE, I can never seen to put then down. I always end up arguing with myself as to how many chapters I get to read before I go to sleep, and I always end up reading more. I simply devour these books. Christopher Rowley wove a wolderful world here where magic is an underlying power and dragons talk and fight battles along side there dragonboys. And created very special characters in all the books, led by (of course) Relkin and Bazil.

Summary: i dont like to read but i finished this book in a week.
Review: There arent very many books that catch my attention but this book, was by far the best book i have attempetd to read it took me a while but i started to get into it. i finally finished it. Now im starting on the next book a sword for a dragon, im hoping its as good as the other one. I have to say this, the way he goes into detail on the fights is incredable, its like im rigth there watching it. i can see each move. i've never read any thing liek it before. Keep Up The Good Work.

Summary: This book is grabs your attention and dosen't let go.
Review: This book is one the best books I have ever read. Christopher Rowley puts so much detail in to his books that you think you are right there in the story. Relkin the dragoneer and Bazil the "broketail" dragon join the legion of the Argonoth in the fight against the "Doom" of Padmassa. When the fighting starts you will not be able to put the book down. The best part of the book in my opinion is the fact that Bazil is the comic relief. I would suggest this book to every one I know.

Summary: The Greatest Bazil Broketail Series I Have Ever Read
Review: This book pulls you in, and keeps pulling. The Story has a way of making you to read more. Bazil and his Dragonboy Relkin are my fav characters in the book, I for one like this book because the story is so nicely writen. Christopher has outdone himself, He has brought people to read his books, He is the greatest writer of all time, besides Issac Asimov.

Summary: I thought the book was really great.
Review: This book was an epic tale of a dragon and his dragonboy who struggled to get into the legion in a town called Marneri. They got a young Novitite in trouble to get in the legion and she ended up on a great mission because of it. Bazil(the Dragon)was in a fight to see if he could qualify to get into the legions and had a catastrophe befall him, which jepordized his chances for getting into the legions. He was lucky because a Magician was kind to fix it for him. He and Relkin end up being The heroes of the story. This is a tail of how they got from their humble positions as Legionares to being well renouned heroes. This Book was really great and if you don't believe me read it and you will find out for yourself.

Summary: My favourite book ever
Review: This book was awsome. I recomend this book over the Hobbit, Narnia and Redwall series. The battles were so realistic that you would think that you are actually there. But the only problem with the book is how can 15 men, 6 dragonboys, two witches and 2 dragons defend themselves against a whole army.
