Rating: Summary: It is one of the best books that I have read in a long time. Review: Bazil Broketail is an extrordinary fantasy book written by Christopher Rowley. The book is about a young dragoneer Relkin and his dragon Bazil. It takes place in a land called the Argonath in a time of war. It has suspense, sorcery and is an excellent book. I recommend this book to all lovers of fantasy books and any other readers who have not yet read this book.
Rating: Summary: One of Christopher Rowleys bests! Review: Bazil Broketail is one of the most addictive, exciting and fun to read books I have ever read. It includes amazing fight scenes, exciting plot twists and simply phenominal charachter developement. You follow the lady Lagdalen and orphan boy Relkin through marching legions, intense clashes with imps and trolls, powerfull sorcery, and much more, not to mention the Dragons with their gargantuan strength. A masterful beginning to the wonderful set of books. If you enjoy any of the above, even a little you will be rapt with attention the whole way through. But don't take my word for it, read Bazil Broketail yourself and experiences its greatness first hand.

Rating: Summary: Dragons pf War Review: Bazil Broketail shows us a fantastic world of Dragons and war. The battle scenes are very well written and the relationship between man and Dragon is very good as well. Bazil will definetly be one of your all time favorite characters.
Rating: Summary: Great plot, but the only character I got attached to was Baz Review: Certainly a very entertaining story, with a dynamic plot and a sense of humor to boot. I found it difficult to get attached to any of the characters, however; If one died, I wouldn't have cared very much. I don't think I've ever seen so many typos in one fanntasy book in my life, either. But Bazil himself and the pitiable Doom are enough to make Bazil Broketail a great story in itself. Lessis, too--cat woman, gotta love it!
Rating: Summary: Never seen before humanity and character Review: Here is an author who knows how to put depth into his characters. The storytelling is rich and entertaining. And, as in most fantasy books the universe is rich and interesting, but there is more than meets the eye here. Here, the heroes and the society are not simply noble, grandiose, original, enthralling or friendly, as in most works of fantasy. Usually such are too perfect to belong anywhere but in a fantasy book. In this story, they have this special quality that we can relate to them. The characters and society are relevant to us on a personal level not simply outlandish works of imagination. While Bazil's is probably not the perfect work of literature, it puts a real humanity in its character that I only previously found in serious authors of classic literature. A definite 5-star , that I rate far superior to all those Hugo award winners and such over the years.
Rating: Summary: The Bazil Broketail series is great! Review: I absolutly loved this dragon fantasy book. It waz wonderful. It had everything, humor, adventure, romance! it waz AWESOME! The whole series is really kewl. If you liked this book i recommend: A Sword for a Dragon, Dragons of Argonath, and Battledragon.
Rating: Summary: A dark fantasy tale of huge proportions..... Review: I am not a very honest person, but i can admit that this book is a shining example of how a dark fantasy with little regard for main character's lives is supposed to be written. Rowley's work is always very brooding, even depressing, but it seems to be that just so at the end you don't feel so disconnected from the story. A great read...
Rating: Summary: Can't go wrong with a wyvern! Review: I first heard of this book series from a friend who picked up the last in the series and was reading it at school. When my family and I went to London, I found it in a bookstore and picked up the first one in Rowley's Battledragon series- Bazil Broketail. This book is awesome. I read it whenever I had some time- Usually on the London Underground (Mind the gap). It tells the story of a young 14-year old orphanboy named Relkin and his wyvern/battledragon, Bazil, who live in a world called Ryeleth, a world of giant dragons, wizards, witches, and numerous other creatures. Relkin and Bazil journey from their home to join the Leigons Army, and Bazil has to compete with other wyverns for the privelege. During one battle, Bazil's tail end is chopped off. Because I won't spoil this for you, I'll just say that his tail end is replaced, but it is bent at an odd angle, making it look broken. Hence, Bazil gets th name Broketail. Around the time Bazil joins the Leigons, the Princess of Marneri is kidnapped, and it is up to a powerful witch, Lessis, the Queen of Birds, to get her back. With her assistant Lagdalen, she enlists the help of the dragon brigade the 109th, Bazil and Relkin's. They end up fighting for their lives in the stronghold of the Doom, a great rock full of powerful magic and a strong brain. Their numbers are reduced to three dragons, one stuck behind them and the other two, Bazil being one of them, fighting a great troll named Puxdool. Now, it is up to Relkin, Lagdalen, Lessis, and Bazil to destroy the Doom and save Princess Besetia, the hope of Marneri. Bazil as well as the other characters are wonderful characters that are intelligent, and the wyverns are creatures one can easily understand, thanks to Christopher Rowley. A word of caution, though- it is a good idea to get an idea of how big wyverns are early on- otherwise it gets a little confusing. This adventure is one no one should miss! Stop reading this review and click on the shopping cart button! If you don't own this book, I strongly recommend you get it right away and start reading (and, while you're at it, buy the other books in the series)
