Rating: Summary: great but not spectacular.... Review: a good book; chris pierson does a good job playing out his characters. dezra is played well, although she seems a bit too much like kitaria. actually a lot like her. a sell-sword, she had the smirk, and the attitude.again, i was impressed at how well dezra's character was played out. she acted just like a hot teenage girl w/ an attitude would. caramon played his role well, being the protector. hmmm can't say that his character was played well enough. there was something wrong with it. anyway, i gave it 4 stars because it kept me going. i didn't just read it, i kind've wanted to find out what happened. if the book was actually exciting, however, i would've given it 5.

Rating: Summary: I'm psyched Review: about the new Majere in town. I hope that she gets more airtime
Rating: Summary: Bridges of Time Review: An OK book. I'd say it's below the DL average but there have to be some books that are or they'ed all be perfect. I won't insult this book at all because the books around it aren't exactly the best of DL material. In short the later Bridges of Time books are sort of, underaverage DL novels. That is why this book is all right (it is in with some other not as good books). It is worth reading but don't buy it if you are only buying one DL book. Don't expect much but that doesn't mean it's pathetic. (And what is with Caramon in this book. He may be getting old but why does he act better in Dawning of a New Age than now)?
Rating: Summary: Dezra's Quest? Review: At the beginning of this book I really doubted that I would like it, as I read it became okay and then during the end it seemed a very good book. But I can't give Chris Pierson (no relation) five stars for a few reasons. One, the title of this book should have been 'a quest in which Dezra is involved' because she was not the main character. Two, Dezra herself seemed to be too much like Kitiara for me to give the author credit for making Dezra into his own character. But other than those points this was a great book. Pierson (no relation) did one of the best jobs writing Caramon that I have seen and the other characters developed nicely as the story continued. And of course there was humor in this book, which never hurts in a Dragonlance book. This may not be a must read book, but it is a should read book, dive into it when you get the time.
Rating: Summary: Caramon is still alive, thanks Dezra! Review: At the beginnining it seems an "already heard" story: an old I-don't-want-to-live-without-Raist Caramon, but then things change. Chris Pierson shows us centaurs' life style, their proximity with the woods and their Gods (long live Chislev!) and their philosophical way of living honor. Dezra is not the most important character but she is the "shock" that Caramon needed to feel alive again and to understand that it is worth living life even without Raistlin. A good book which smells of trees and magic.
Rating: Summary: what happened to chris pirsons writing Review: Chris piersons first dragon lance novel was excellent, this on the other hand was forced, the charactors are dull and the plot desperate, there are nice touches but they are not enough. I would like to see Mr Pierson do some more, spirit of the wind was excellent.
Rating: Summary: Dezra's Quest is one of my favorite dragonlance books. Review: Dezra's quest is one of my favorite dragonlance books, mainly because I like to read of the adventures of Caramon Majere, but the other characters like Dezra and Borlos and Pallidice are what give you the feeling of really knowing the characters. I also really enjoyed the creatures in this book, which range from centaurs to dryads to sprites to the evil skorenoi and Grimbough, the evil tree. There was even a Golem, which was a welcomed addition in my opinion. My feeling was that the way the characters and races were portrayed was what gave them meaning to me. In conclusion, the reason I liked the book was because of how well Chris Pierson brought the characters to life in my mind, how he portrayed the little seen centaurs, and the wide variety of creatures.
Rating: Summary: Good characters, so-so plot Review: I bought this book at the gen con convention, and it was a quick read. Chris is a good author, who I hope will get better. However, I think I just expected too much after his last book. Unfortunately, this one had too many similarities to other Dragonlance books, and to other fantasy books on the market. Chris needs to come up with better ideas! I liked the character Dezra, though.
Rating: Summary: This was a great book! Review: I enjoyed this book alot. I also enjoyed the fact that the centaurs finally had a book written about them and I thought that the characters were well portrayed. The battles were great and I enjoyed Trephas who was a strong warrior who was loyal to Dezra. I would highly advise this book to all Dragonlance readers.
