Written with style and grace to reflect that time period, you enter into Edwina Von Stetina's private journal that centers on the inherited estate left to her by her sea-faring Uncle Kat. Follow the adventures of Edwina as she discovers winged species of fantasy creatures known as Flittens ( Flittens dwell in places you would never dream of looking!) You will also meet the miniscule flying mice who delight in making whimsical sculptures out of sugar cubes, and who hide in the holes made in swiss cheese. Be sure to have a cat to cuddle in your lap, and perhaps a young child nearby who can share in the giggles as you read this fanciful book out loud. This is a book that belongs in anyone's library, and one to cherish through the ages, for the imagination displayed in the writing and the illustrations within these pages is timeless and reaches the child within all of us!
