Summary: THE JOURNEY OF A LIFETIME!!!!
Review: A trip to two amazingly detailed worlds in the company of some of the most interesting characters you've ever spent time with. And the outcome you will not believe. This would make a tremendous movie, maybe even a mini-series.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: THE BEST FANTASY NOVEL I'VE READ IN TWO YEARS
Review: The world's falling apart, nothing but wreckage everywhere, along with a decimated government and some very strange cultists hanging around in the shadows. Only these cultists have powers like nothing the city has ever seen before! And one man and one woman suddenly find themselves trapped between Hell on earth and and Something that may be a great deal worse

Summary: A HERO I COULD REALLY IDENTIFY WITH
Review: As fantastic as this story is, the people in it seem real and the world they live in, though vastly different from ours, is entirely believeable. One of the best small press books I have ever read, maybe the best, way ahead of 90 percent of the more mainstream science fiction that's released every year.

Summary: FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY, MAYBE MORE
Review: This is good versus evil, darkness versus light but told in shades of gray. Legend is an exceptional book. It's the story of a thrilling, thought provoking quest, starring an ordinary man, forced to become extraordinary, and an extraordinary woman forced to become almost supernatural.

I love this book!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A rollercoaster adventure
Review: Legend is great fun, an intelligent book that keeps you turning the pages

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: FIRST RATE END OF THE WORLD, SATANIC MAGIC THRILLER
Review: The world's ending, there's magic, there's terror, there's a beautiful crafty heroine and a not-quite as intelligent or crafty hero. There are enough twists and turns for any self-respecting rollercoaster. Familiar stories are transformed.

There's a whole lot going on here, and it's a whole lot of fun.

Summary: GOOD OLD FASHIONED SCIENCE FICTION ADVENTURE
Review: After what I heard about this book, it sounded good but I was sort of afraid it was going to be some bs that thought it was the great American novel. Then I read the cover and I was about to ask for my money back. I still don't know what they were talking about there, and I doubt if the guy who wrote the cover know what he was talking about either.

But you can bet that the guy who wrote the book and the guy who wrote the cover must have been two different people. Because this is just a great old fashinoed adventure.

Summary: If you haven't read it you've got a real treat coming
Review: Excitement, adventure, horror, humor and the most valuable pile of refuse in the history of literature. What more could any reader ask?

If you don't love Legend, you don't like speculative fiction. Maybe you don't even like fiction.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: AN ADVENTURE OF THE SPIRIT AS WELL AS A PHYSICAL ADVENTURE!
Review: In my opinion, LEGEND is an extraordinary tale. It's a quest, a test of the protagonists, and an inquisition into their characters all at once. Their perils are spiritual and psychic as well as physical, yet it's the sheer physical adventure that pulls the reader from page to page, at a can't-put-the-book-down pace.

The book it most reminds me of is DELIVERANCE, in that it works out its themes in non-stop action. It says what it has to say through that action. But it has a great deal to say. And much of what it has to say you don't realize until you've finished the novel and you find yourself thinking back on it.

It's not a book you will quickly forget.

Summary: It's been a while since I enjoyed science fiction this much!
Review: Legend is a fun book. It's got a message, and I'm normally not in favor of message books, the message usually gets in the way of telling the story, but the message here comes through the story. You find yourself thinking about it later. Much as I dislike thinking, it made the book even more enjoyable.

Still don't worry about the message. You'll like the hero, you'll love the heroine, and the trials and tribulations they go through will keep you on the edge of your seat.

The way the author takes some a couple of current legends and twists them to his purposes is really great. You'll have fun reading Legend.

I'd even like to see a sequel, but I don't think this was exactly a best seller.
