Summary: AN ADVENTURE FOR THE AGES
Review: Legend may be over 10 years old but it's the kind of book that will probably never be dated. Everything about it is as fresh now as when it was written.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: GREAT ADVENTURE, WONDERFUL CHARACTERS
Review: Great adventure, wonderful characters and one of the best endings I've ever read, this is a fantasy classic. Even if it's a classic that only a few people have ever read.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: MY FAVORITE CHRISTMAS GIFT!
Review: I got Legend from a friend for Christmas. From the look of it, I thought he'd gotten it at some kind of a closeout sale. I wasn't planning on even reading it, but he raved about the book so much, and he mentioned that he'd had to special order it for me, so I gave it a chance.

This is a wonderful book. And, unlike my friend, I'm not even that much of a science fiction fan. But this is a book that anybody can enjoy, and even love.

Summary: FIRST RATE, PAGE TURNING ENTERTAINMENT
Review: This is good solid entertainment, the kind of book you can't wait to get home to start reading again, the kind of book that will keep you up late. That's rare enough these days, at any price (though I've got to say, I'd like Legend better in a cheaper edition. And a little cover art wouldn't hurt either.

Summary: A fabulous fable, a wonderful tale
Review: Not your normal fantasy novel, Legend will delight anyone who enjoys a wry look at the world. Beyond that, it's a first rate adventure, and just a darn good read.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: ONE OF THE BEST!
Review: This is one of my all time favorite fantasy novels. It's got a great end of civilization society and an even better magic and sorcery world. And when the two worlds come together, watch out.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Twists and surprises galore, great fun!
Review: Legend is a rollercoaster ride of a book, unexpected twists and turns, then just when you think you've got it figured out, the bottom drops out beneath you. I'm recommending it to every sf fan I know.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: GREAT BOOK. DON'T JUDGE THIS ONE BY ITS COVER!
Review: Legend has the worst cover I've ever seen on a book. Which just goes to show that you can't judge a book by its cover because this is one hellacious fine story. If you like this half as much as I did, that will make it one of your favorite books.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: AN ADVENTURE OF THE SPIRIT AND OF THE MIND!
Review: Good versus evil in a thousand shades of gray. This is one of the most profound adventure tales ever written which doesn't keep it from being completely gripping, a page turner that makes you think.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!
Review: I love sf and fantasy, but this may be my favorite of all time. The hero was really someone I could relate to, tossed into a bizarre job with no real purpose, trying to figure out what was going on. The beginning of Legend is like Dilbert meets The Exorcist, all set in a future world which seems less far fetched and more familiar with every page you turn.
