Rating: Summary: I only read a excerpt, but so far it is good Review: I love it. The Inner Sanctum was great, and this should be another thriller. I can not wait for it to go on sale.
Rating: Summary: Fast paced Review: I loved the fast pace of this book. As I ran with Cole in and out of one danger after another I was reminded of The Firm. The surprise twists of plot kept me guessing until the very last page!
Rating: Summary: A touch of class Review: I was not sure about this book when I bought it. After reading the prologue, which was set back when Kennedy got assassinated but the pictures/film was taken from the other side of the grass, I was intrested to know more. The start of the book started from the present day with a guy called Cole Egan, in dire straits...everything going wrong for him about to be fired etc. Then a strange call telling him his father has died and he has a package waiting for him. Well from there on in it just got intresting a long lost secret about to be unveiled but everyone is trying to get at this piece of history including the president him self. It is fast pacing action not knowing what is REALLY going to happen next, twists and everyone with a different motive makes the book a must for anyone who likes thrillers.

Rating: Summary: Tortured Dialog, Ludicrous Plot Review: In order to demonstrate the level at which Mr. Frey writes, I give you a paraphrase of some dialog in the book: Cole: I am going to Montana / Tory: No, you need to go to New York / Cole: I am going to Montana and that's final / (Cole heads for the door) / Tory: Where are you going? / Hello? I believe he said he was going to Montana. This type of hideous dialog is throughout the book, filling pages between stupendously ridiculous plot twists.
Rating: Summary: Nice book the first one I actually liked reading for school Review: Ok, so it's not the world's greatest book, but it's a really good pageturner. Maybe the characters are a little bit to beautiful and the ending's a little bit to perfect (hero gets the money and the girl) but it's fun to read. If you like thrillers this is one to read. There will always be questions about what happened the day JFK was shot and this book gives one of the many answers. It might be true, who knows. Anyway, if you like reading, just read this book, you won't regret it. As I said, this was the first one I wanted to read for my English assignment, normally the books are very boring.
Rating: Summary: Don't trust anyone... Review: Once settled into the storyline you'll find it hard to put down. There's lots of twists and turns all the way from New York to Montana. You'll keep pulling for Cole Egan as he faces off against unknown enemies in the hope that the truth will finally be told. The only disappointment is at the end when you realize the truth behind the conspiracy, your'e still left wondering why.
Rating: Summary: Infantile Review: Plot is tired but OK. Another book with an inept principal; apparently the new style for leading and supporting characters. Almost every American reader must know what DIA is and who cares - other than that is a US intelligence agency. I was suckered in to buying it because I mistook the author for THE 'PREY' author.
Rating: Summary: Conspiracy lovers will have a great time reading this Review: Securities trader Cole Porter is in deep debt to a loan shark and his job might be in jeopardy as he has provided poor advice to his clients. However, though he feels he has had a very a bad year, things turn worse for Cole after receiving a strange call, informing him that his estranged father died. Cole inherits a tape of the JFK assassination, but from the other side of the plaza, a locale not previously seen on film. Cole sees his inheritance as a means of getting out of debt and starting fresh. However, what he gets is a group of assassins who want the tape to remain secret even if it means killing Cole to ensure that happens. Though the story line requires a stretch of the imagination beyond that of an Oliver North biographical movie, THE LEGACY is thriller that hooks the reader nonetheless. Cole is not a particularly likeable character, which surprisingly adds to the reader's sense of pending doom. The story line is fast-paced and action filled, but it is the historical linkage that turns Stephen Frey's latest tale into a must summer read for fans of political thrillers. Harriet Klausner
Rating: Summary: A not so good book Review: Stephen Frey should really stick to his financial triller rather than trying to write some half-pass six type of political suspense. I would recommend the Stephen Frey's fan to give this a miss and to read "The Takeover" instead.
