Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Best series Ever written Review: Some person was disappointed with this book? Do what I did when I first read this series. This is the last book I read. You can start from Guns of Avalon and slowly piece together what happened in this book. Maybe the disappointed reader should try reading Lord of Light, If it goes back into printing. This Hugo winner might convice you why Roger Zelazny is one of the best SF writers.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Zelazny lives on even in his death Review: "Nine Princes In Amber" marks the start of the absolute best series I have ever read! There is nothing to compair to Zelazny's creative and unique world of Amber! Forever will Roger Zelazny live on within the world he so dearly created and we so dearly belove.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A must read "classic-in-the-making" Review: I loved this book from the moment I picked it up. Zelazny doesn't spoon feed you the information, he requires you to think...which I love in a book. I was hooked on this book instantly, I couldn't put it down. Zelazny's writing flows so well, it's hard to put the book down between chapters because you're aching to find out what happens next. This is a book that you start at 5 pm and finish at 3:30 the next morning. The entire series was excellent. Everything fell into place so perfectly that I feel that Zelazny must have planned for ages before he even wrote one word of this book. I started this book on a saturday afternoon and I finished the series of ten three weeks later, with a heavy load of schoolwork...I reccomend that you start this book when you have some time on your hands or you may spend many nights up reading.
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: I don't get what's so exciting about this book Review: When I got this book, I had very high expectations. It got two very prestigious awards and had pretty good ratings but I wasn't impressed after reading the book. The things about the Pattern and crossing between shadows were too confusing. Corwin seem to be the only good prince and should get the crown but he wasn't too smart in trying to usurp Eric. The other books might be better and shed more light on the world of Amber but I like to be pulled into the story from the very beginning not in the middle. This book is also too sci-fi for me. I expected it to be more in the lines of knights and sorcery not Mercedes and guns. This book was disappointing.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: My favorite book for 17 years Review: I read this book when I was 17 and I loved it then. I read it again at 34 and I still loved it. Then my husband, who doesn't normally like to read, picked it up and he was hooked as well. So we bought the whole set. I've read everything from Sir Walter Scott to Shakespeare and beyond but this book will probably always be my favorite. It's a great romp through the pages.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: i was hooked from the ending. :) Review: the first book is so well written and zelazney is so smooth with transition and imagry, it was a great book. i laughed, i stared in disbelief, i cursed the writer at one point even. i gobbled it up in about three hours and when i got to the end where...sorry, i can't tell you how it ended. let us just say i was hooked from there. my advise. get this and read it. then read the second one. then read the third one. are we seeing a pattern? trust me. once you read one you will have to have all of them, and all of them are worth it. five stars.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The start of the best Fantasy series yet written. Review: The 10 books of the Amber series start with this one, Nine Princes in Amber. Our narrator, our protagonist, Carl Corey "Corwin" remembers little of who he is, and what he wants to be...and thus as he grows to remember the true state of affairs in the infinite universes, so does the reader learn with him in an irresistable manner. Intrigue, adventure, grand vistas, unforgettable characters, brilliantly depicted locales, and more await the reader. Enjoy and be wrapped up in its pure magic. Though Tolkien came first, and Jordan promises to make his series ever longer, both must accede the crown of best Fantasy series to Roger Zelazny's Amber.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: It's well written, witty, and fun to read. Review: I didn't enjoy the last five books in the Amber series nearly as much as I did Corwin's adventures. Roger Zelazny, in Nine Princes in Amber, introduces to us an astounding universe. Fans of fantasy most likely have already read this novel, for it is simply very good. You just can't explain how extraordinary it is without reading it. So if you haven't done so already, do so promptly!
