Summary: Wonderful! Fantastic...a fantasy realm that lives!
Review: For the fourth time Mike Jeffries has kept me riveted to his story. His imagination has bound me into his story realm to the point that I wished that I too could take part in his dream.

From the start I was drawn into the realm of Elundium once again. The characters live and draw you into their lives...you worry that the Tunnlers and Marchers will gain justice, you hate the protagonists and wonder just how far they will go before they are caught...and will they be caught? An Excellent chapter in an excellent story.....that keeps me waiting inmpatiently for more Thank God the new one is out...I can't wait!

Summary: An engaging work of fantasy
Review: Great book! Mike Jefferies does a wonderful job of drawing the reader into his story. The storyline is fast and engaging, and the characters are well developed. While not on the scale of Tolkein or Tad Williams, readers who enjoy Mercedes Lackey, Gayle Greeno, Robin McKinley and the like will probably enjoy this book.

Summary: Good Feel Good Fantasy
Review: I read this book as a stand alone without reading any previous works of Mr. Jefferies and I was impressed. A simple, kind of innocent Fantasy that is well written. I'm bummed most of his works are out of print and hard to find. This book is worth the read as a stand alone if you can't find the rest of the series, although you will end up like me looking online for the next in the series and any of Jefferies previous works.

Summary: Part of a good series, but not as good as the previous books
Review: This is a good book, however it lacks the sting of the previous books of the series. This is a very character oriented book with only a little magic or mysticism in it. It looks at the fears of the common population of Elundium and how rumours can run riot when fear is mixed with the hate and envy of a different race (Tunnellers). It also shows how the evil within ones own people can be just as destructive as Krulshards and Kruel the pervious evil creatures of great power.
