Rating: Summary: Death drives this duology... ;) Review: I have to say the best part of these two books (which I picked up separately at the library) was Lord Death. You can't help but completely fall for him... and a little bit of empathy for Crystal. Besides that, it's not a spectacularly memorable series, but a fairly entertaining read.
Rating: Summary: A very delightful story, and a must read!! Review: I just love Wizard of the Grove, and although I've never read any of Tanya Huff's other novels before, this book has made me a complete fan of hers. From the first time I read the book, I couldn't put it down, and after I finished it I found myself rereading it. Each of the characters in this book are unique, and wonderful. This book actually gets you connected to them. For example I just adored the character of Lord Death. He is by far the best element to this book, and the reason I kept on reading after the first section (child of the grove) ended. And I don't remember ever feeling this strongly about any fictional book characters before, but the love Lord Death had for Crystal was very inspiring. He will always be (if not first) amoung my favorite book characters. And throughout the whole book, I found myself hoping that they would get together. Unfortunately I felt that Tanya Huff could've done more to develop the love they held for each other. The ending also was a bit dissapointing as it was very vague. A more clear happy ending would have been better. Say for example...Lord Death marries Crystal and they both live happily ever after? Corny I know, but just a thought.
Rating: Summary: Love it Review: I LOVED THE "CHILD OF THE GROVE" PART OF THE BOOK AND HAD TO GIVE IT A 5, BUT THERE JUST SEEMED TO BE SOMETHING LACKING IN THE "LAST WIZARD" PART. IT ALMOST SEEMS SHE JUST RAN OUT OF STEEM AND WANTED TO HAVE THIS BOOK OVERWITH. ALL IN ALL IT WAS A VERY GOOD STORY, BUT I JUST FELT SOMETHING WAS LACKING AT THE END.

Rating: Summary: Tanya Huff's Wizard of the Grove Review: I LOVED THIS BOOK! I'm a slow reader, I like to take my time and enjoy the story.I really felt like I was there with Crystal and all of her emotions. I would deffinetly recommend this book to all Fantasy readers. Tanya, keep them coming!
Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT!!! Review: I thought this book was one of the best books I had ever read. Like many people before me had said, Tanya Huff makes it seem like you really know the characters!
Rating: Summary: One of the best books out there! Review: I was a little intimidated at the size of this two-books-in-one, but once I got over it and sat down to read, I was SO HAPPY that I did! The characters are likeable, creative, and realistic (which says a lot about Tanya, due to the fact that a vast majority are WIZARDS, GIANTS, WER-PEOPLE, MER-PEOPLE, AND DWARVES!!) A great book for anyone who enjoys fantasy and incredible insight in writing. Also, listen to some Sara McLaughlan while you read it...for some reason, it just works.
Rating: Summary: Good reading Review: I would have rated this 5 stars except I was a little disappointed in the ending. However, the rest of the book is delightful and has much to recommend it. I'm a Tanya Huff fantasy fan. She can make me laugh and make me cry. Check out her other books if you like this one.

Rating: Summary: Very Enjoyable! Review: Lord Death was definitely the best character in the book. I loved the romance between him and Crystal. However, the romance could have been better developed, and the ending was a little vague. I would still recommend reading this novel.
