Rating: Summary: Great Series..but..... Review: All in all the whole Aurian series was wonderfull, But the last book just didnt mesh well, It was as if maggie lost her train of thought with the cast of the book. They all acted different then they should have, I didnt like how the archmage died at all. I didnt like the battle between Aurian and the other mage either. It just wasnt as great as the previous 3 books. But still, I enjoied the book enough to read it twice. Thank you Maggie for creating Aurian, who we all love so dear.
Rating: Summary: GREAT SERIES Review: Best series that i have read for a long time, i read this book and half the preceding one in a mere day! Now, all i want is a sequel as quickly as possible.
Rating: Summary: Blink and you'll miss the ending! Review: Did she miss the post or what? This was written so fast, you could believe she had something burning in the oven at the time. The good points are bad guys that have an evil streak a mile long, but say goodbye to their iq around the last three chapters. Aurian just got further and further up your nose and could you pull her down? No! Anvar should by rights have died in book two, the amount of times that they had to backtrack through this whinging little git messing things up was phenominal. If these are the heroes saving the world in a hurry then we can only assume that they are using British Rail as the means of doing so. Slower than a tortoise on downers this is not one to be recomended.
Rating: Summary: Rather Average Review: I admit that this book is far better than Aurian, which was a horrid novel, but it still leaves a lot to be desired. The death of both Miathen and Eliseth was very badly done. I mean these are two of the most powerful Mages and the most cunning and yet that were killed of quite easily by Aurian and Forrel. It is almost as though Furrie just wanted to finish the dam novel as soon as possible, and who gives a damm how much she stuffed a reasonable plot line. I was however, quite impressed with the on going problem of the Forest Lord. At least Furrie didn't make Aurian some almighty saviour who could solve all the problems of the world. I think Furrie must be preparing for a continuation of the saga as she has left so many loose ends: 1. the Windeye's allusions to Aurian and he having grandchildren. 2. The problem of the Xandium and the Forest Lord. 3. And perhaps Miathen did not die. Aurian did not feel the death pain of either he or Eliseth. 4. And what about the spell that the Whale Mage gave to release the warriors made before the Cataclysm, why was that never reffered to again? 5. And what will happen to the Sword of Flame now that "The One" has rejected it? (and another thing naming Aurian "The One" was really tacky.)
Rating: Summary: Rather disapointing Review: I don't know how to discripe my feelings about this novel! I read the previus books and found that Dhiammara had problems to speed up. It went till about the middel of the story before it got quite interesting. And what about the end?? Just another clifhanger! Shall we wait another several years to see the real end of the story? After all Aurian was the best of the four books!!
Rating: Summary: Unsatisfying Review: I know I'm not the only one who was just plain frustrated with the way this book was written. In the previous books, especially Sword of Flame, the story had a wonderful climax, characters, all that. Yet in Dhiamarra...it was lost. It got confusing twards the end, and whats worse, it didn't finish. What happened to that b**** Sara? What about Bern? Wasn't the Windeye, Chiamh, sort of getting unhealthy thoughts about Aurian at some points? Why did he do that? What did it accumulate to? And how are D'Varan and Maya going to deal with the Phaerie? This book left way too much to be decided. But what's worse, it didn't leave me with any feelings twards the characters like the first three did. The characters were just...names. What happened?!
Rating: Summary: Wheres the next book?! Review: I liked the last book, filled with action and adventure as the previous... but... wheres the next book? The end left so many loose ends to tye up... what happens up in Nexis? And what becomes of everyone left alive... after quite a few people are killed. The book was wonderful, but I hope that wasn't the end of an enchanting series that could easily churn out another book or two.
Rating: Summary: What next? Review: I loved this book, just like I loved the others but I totally agree with the other reviews. There were a lot of loose ends left at the end, like what happens in Nexis with D'arvan, Maya and the Phaerie, what became of the cats on Steelclaw, and what about Shia and Khanu? I really think Maggie should give us another book or two to wrap everything up. And a movie would be great!
Rating: Summary: Not as good as the rest Review: I really enjoyed the first book of the series "Arian". But as the series went on, It seemed to drag. I read the last one, but it didn't catch my attention like the first three did. There was so many plot lines to clear up, I think she got in a hurry.
