Summary: Awesome
Review: Personally I never read a book until I read Deborah Chester's series with Riegn of Shadows, Shadow War, and Realm of Light. In actuality I read Shadow War first, after realizing the book ended without a major finish i missed something, then realized I read book 2 first. Once realized, that it was a triology had to read the series starting with Reign of Shadows and even reading Book 2 again to get the full affect. It was so good I had to search out Realm of light{which took way to long}. I loved every minute of it. Read it twice for I was bored. This is from a person who does not read. Deborah Thank you for showing me how reading can be fun, fufilled and so interesting. Your imagination is so great that I had to read your next series, The Alien Cronicles, which I was even more amazed that Deborah could create another triology about a far- away land with such describable character's. I would like to tell you so much more but I just can't. I would not want to ruin this triology for anyone. Please take the time and read it. Deborah I hear you have a new trilogy out. The Sword, The Ring and the Chalice. I haven't seen it in Toronto yet but I now have it ordered. Deborah I will read every book you write. Your great. Your novels are excellent. Thank You for showing me how much fun reading could be, for if it wasn't for me picking up Shadow War for the first book I never probably would have started reading. Thunderin.rain@primus.ca signing off & THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

Summary: This book ROCKS!!
Review: The book starts off a little on the lame side, but it picks up quickly as Ampris gets it all back together after she returns w/ her Freedom Network. It doesn't have as much action as The Crimson Claw, but it keeps you reading just the same. I would definately recommend this book! The ending is nothing short of triumphant! It keeps you riveted!

Summary: completely perfect
Review: The Crystal Eye has to be my favorite book of all time, seriously. the story is full of emotion and no matter what kind of person you are, you can't help but feel the pain and triumph that happens to ampris and her allies. The ending took me completely by surprise, and made me cry a little bit. The only problem is that a lot of times in the series they show the Viis' emotions and sufering, which makes you feel sorry for them also. But, that is small in the contrast of how great this book is. literacy perfection

Summary: Astonishing!
Review: This book is one of the best I have ever read! Even though full of prejudice, hate, and war, the characters stand out beautifully through it all. Strangely enough, it didn't even drive me away through all of its sad events. The characterization is stunning in itself.

Summary: The wonderful ending to a wonderful series.
Review: This book is the first book where I cried at the end. I'm not going to give anything away but, the ending fits in perfectly. I will always rember Ampris and Elrabin. Ms. Chester did a outstanding job writing this series and should be comended for her books. I hope Mr. Lucas will do a movie trilogy with this series. I serously think it has the potental to be as good or better then the orginal Star Wars Trilogy.

Summary: Excellent Book, but No Movie, Please!
Review: This book RULES!!! It is just as good as the 1st two, I never put it down! But I think, even with ILM's great technology, I wouldn't like to see this as a movie. I think it's a lot better as a book and it would loose quality (and probably most of the story) if made into a movie (think Animorphs book-to-TV process <yuk>). Just as a little sidenote though, I am now Ms. Chester's second youngest fan, coming in at 11 3/4.

Summary: Fell a little short
Review: This book started out great, but after about 250 pages, it's as if the author suddenly realized it's time to wrap things up. Nothing significant even began to happen until there were about 100 pages left, and then it happened too quickly to be convincing. Some of the characters were underdeveloped or just plain unnecessary, as were some of the sub-plots. Overall, this series is definitely worth reading, but I can't help thinking that, after a LOOOOOONG wait for this final chapter, it fell short.

Summary: A fitting conclusion!
Review: This book was the best in the entire trilogy! Ampris freed the abiru and managed to get them to Ru-113, just like she had planned all along. And I couldn't help but like how Ampris was constantly confronting Israi! I was kinda bummed out that Ampris couldn't live on Ru-113 with her friends, though.

Summary: GREATEST book i ever read!
Review: This is the BEST series i've ever read. As an avid STAR WARS fan, i stumbled across previews from The Golden One and The Crimson Claw. Immediately, i was hooked and began searching to find them. When i finally got my hands on The Golden One, i couldn't put it down, and BEGGED my dad forever to order The Crimson Claw. Finally i got The Crystal Eye. This has been the BEST series i have ever read, and thats outta hundreds of books! I just wanna know what happens to Ampris' half-Viis cubs, Nashmarl and Foloth. Deborah, pleeeeeeeeeeeze write a sequel! we all wanna know what happens!
