Summary: Too slow moving plot
Review: Despite the fact that it's called Venom's Wrath, this story moves along too slowly to keep the reader interested. That plus the fact that the final Venom/Spider-Man battle is so under-welming and more attention is placed on the NYPD cops then on Spider-Man, makes this more of a book where Spider-Man has an extended cameo apperance, rather then being the focus of the story.

Summary: yuck!
Review: found the book to be boring and slow, not enough action.venom is barely even in the book.

Summary: Venom's Wrath: A Joke of Venom
Review: I guess it was kind of a cross between a Spider-Man novel with elements of Law and Order. Spidey and a cast of NYPD officers attempt to rescue some kidnapped victums including Venom's ex-wife, Ann. Good useage of police crime solving was used here, Keith and Jose did their homework on this one. The final battle between Venom and Spider-Man was a bit disapointing. However this book was a good read for the most part.

Summary: great book!
Review: I liked this book because it wasn't _just_ a superhero novel. I mean, it _was_ a superhero novel, but it also felt like a police procedural. It was like a really good episode of Hill Street Blues or Homicide, but with Spider-Man and Venom in it. And it still felt like the Spider-Man I've known and loved since the sixties.

Summary: Wonderfully done....
Review: I liked this book very much. The loss of the fifth star is fault by WAY too many policemen/women in this book. True, the men in blue were necessary to save the hostages, but I really didn't think precints are that large. It literally gave me a headache keeping their names straight, with a few exceptions. I really enjoy the concentration between the Spider-Man/NYPD relationship as being rocky. As for the villain, it's a nice change for Venom to become the antagonist instead of the half-protagonist he was in Duane's novels. Good book, overall.

Summary: A Grrrrreat Book!
Review: I looooved this book! It had all of the great things that I've loved in Spider-Man tales for so many years, but it also had the twist of a police novel mixed in! I always liked it when the city and its citizens were on Spidey's side, and in this book he actually teams up with the NYPD! How great is that?! I also loved how JRN and KRAD show off how truely powerful Venom really is, and how much emotion is inside that villain! You definately have to read this if you haven't already!

Summary: Terrific Cop Stuff Enlivens Spidey Novel
Review: I must disagree with one of the previous reviewers; these are novels, not comic books, and they cannot slavishly duplicate the nonstop action of the comics. VENOM'S WRATH is a novel strong in characterization, the New York setting, and the suspense of the storyline; it uses Venom himself economically, but sufficient to its own ends. Had it simply been a series of fight scenes only thinly connected by the barest excuse of a plot (a sin that afflicts some but not all of the previous novels in this line), it would have been tiresome; instead, it happens to be a good police-procedural novel, a good suspense novel, AND a good Spider-Man novel all at the same time.

Summary: Boring
Review: I'm sorry when i buy a book called Venoms Wraith i expect Venom to be the main villan not some lame shape shifting guy. Venom was barely in it. Venom fans i recommend The venom Factor

Summary: More than just a super hero novel...
Review: Jose Nieto and I were trying to create a novel that went beyond the basic super hero punch-'em-up that you get in most comic books. We wanted to examine the "real" world in terms of the Marvel universe -- what's it like being a cop in the MU? a terrorist? We also took a look at issues of identity, of nationalism, of loyalty. And we also had lots of punch-'em-ups because, let's face it, it's still a super hero novel. But it's also (we hope) a compelling mystery/police procedural, and we think that it will have appeal beyond (though still including) Spider-Man fans. We hope you'll give it a try.
