Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Predictable
Review: An unfortunately predictable ending to a potentially good story. A man is sent back to Ancient Thebes to rescue two people who were mistakenly sent to the wrong time and place in the Ancient past. Although the descriptions of Ancient Thebes are very enjoyable, the plot (along with the dialogue) leaves much to be desired.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Mercifully Short
Review: For themes which inherently inspire curiosity and mystery (time travel and the culture of ancient egypt) this book manages to be nothing but a dull and repetitive disappointment - despite its length. This book gets one star for its sheer brevity - the author thankfully subjects us to only 116 pages of pure emptiness. The characters are flat with the motivation of two year olds and the plot is rudiculous and almost non-existant. Add in a sprinkling of clumsy, misplaced sexuality and you've got a truly repulsive story on your hands. Do yourself a favor and skip this vapid tale.

Summary: Big disappointment
Review: I wish I'd taken the time to read the other reviews before downloading this disappointment.

Just when I thought I was approaching the halfway point in the story, and thinking that things were about to get good - the book and the story end abruptly. I've read a lot of bad books before but I've never felt this cheated.

Do yourself a favour and take a pass on this one...

Summary: Unfinished
Review: maybe because its an e-book, but the story starts well enough but stops very suddenly just as it gets going. I felt I had wasted my money buying half a book

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Breathtaking imagery
Review: Silverberg is a master at drawing you into an imaginative world. This book makes you feel like you're smack in the middle of ancient egypt pursuing a potentially deadly mission, from ancient temples to the city of the dead. Great plot and amazing imagery.
