Subtle characterisations and bold world-building underlaid by some serious and thoughtful philosophical questions. highly recommended if you can find a copy

Review: This book is Rebecca's Meluch's Masterpiece. I have spoken to her and I think it is safe to say that she would agree with me. The book draws from and has similarities to the story of Lawrence of Arabia. The main character even resembles T.E. Lawrence(or Peter O'Toole). Meluch fills all of her books with landscapes, religions, technologies, and communities that rival those in Frank Herbert's Dune. I have read this book more than ten times in my life and will read it several more. All of her other works are worth multiple readings as well, but Jerusalem Fire stands out. If I may tease you with a quote, you must find out who is referred to when the question is asked. "So who do you know who draweth his every breath in pain?" This does not refer to physical pain. Find and read this book whether you are a Sci-Fi fan or not. You will not regret it.
