Rating: Summary: Patience is a Virtue Review: I began reading this book and it dragged on and on. I have read the core books, the first chronicles applying mainly to Black Wing. The book doesn't enter the deep pits of a black's dragon emotion, it doesn't display horrific scenes of the dragon destroying village after village. No, she gets to play with nyphids (pixies, sorta). As I continued reading, there was some typical dragon behavior that I crave, but more nyphids and the learning of a Taoist style of thinking, qhen. The book is very slow moving up until around page 80, after that the pace promptly quickens and holds that speed throughtout the rest of the book. Get through the beginning of Part 1 and don't look back for the rest. This isn't my favorite dragonlance book by any means, but it does provide what all of us crave, destruction, dragons, and love.

Rating: Summary: Why give your favorite book a seven? Review: I've read quite a few Dragonlance books, and Mary Kirchoff is my favorite writer. I mean no offense to any other Dragonlance writer, I think you're all great. And of course, no disrespect toward and other writer. I mean where would we be without writers? Just lots of huge collections of blank pages. Where was I? Oh, yeah. The Black Wing is, in my opinion, the best book so far (unless I finish Dragons of Summer Flame and decide it was better). It takes a detailed look at how a black dragon thinks, what its priorities are, that sort of thing. The book had enough detail, but wasn't at all slow moving (ever read The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn?). So after this review, why give it a seven? Think about it; if I had given it a ten, you prob'ly would've skipped right over it, thinking I was "just another Dragonlance fanatic". Well Guess What! I am! You will be assimilated! Resistance is futile! MWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!
Rating: Summary: From a different perspective indeed! Review: Its too bad this couldn't have been written before the Chronicles. This book made Khisanth out to be a much worthier opponent for the Companions than the Chronicles did. As it is, this was still a great book. Once again, the Dragonlance saga proves its ok to like the bad guys.
Rating: Summary: OK Review: My brother thinks this is the best Dragonlance book ever but I prefer the Chronicales and Dwarven Nations trilogies (quartet?). Mary Kirchoff is a good author with an interesting subject but I feel she could have done better.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Read Review: One of the top 5 books in this wonderfull series. The Black Wing is the first book that gives you the action from a dragon's point of view, and comes through perfectly. It tells the story of the dragon Khisanth up to the point when she rises from the well and tears Riverwind open. A must read for those interested in Drangonlance, or anyone who likes dragons.
Rating: Summary: Khisanth's Story Finally Revealed! Review: The life story of Khisanth, the black dragon who attacked the companions in Xak Tsaroth in the novel "Dragon of Autumn Twilight," is an excellent book that is a must read for any DL fan. This was an excellent book and anyone could read over and over. I highly suggest this book to ANY Dragonlance reader. ALL HAIL TAKHISIS!
Rating: Summary: About the (in)famous black dragon Khisanth Review: The story is indeed about the period of time between the awakening of the black dragon Khisanth and the moment in which she is banished to protect the Crystal Staff. It is quite a stupid book if you haven't read any of the others (by Weis and Hickman). One annoying part of the book is the dragon's ability to shapechange in a non magical way. I find this incredulous to believe.
Rating: Summary: HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!! Review: This book is just flat awesome. Let's face it, who ever thought they would root for an evil, betraying, nasty, black dragon that tries to kill the Heroes of the Lance? But I did and I did it big. This dragon is just flat awesome. The best part has got to be the conflict between Khinsanth and the Knight. It is the typical good vs. evil deal, except that the Knight is the only human that Khinsanth respects and she has to kill him. Beautiful storyline.
Rating: Summary: My fav. book of all the dragonlance novels! Review: This book is, in my opinion, the best dragonlance novel ever. I love having the dragon as the main character (just human main characters gets really boring after a while). I really liked how the authors described the scenes. Really awesome!
