Review: David Eddings is my favorite author - his books are extremly funny and well written, and all the characters are totally realistic. When you've entered the world of "The belgariad", Belgarath, Polgara, Garion, Ce'Nedra, Silk, Barak, and all the others become persons you know as well as any living person. Absolutly ingenious!

Review: David Eddings spins a tale spanning generations, which leads the reader to the final battle and beyond. Told in language that is so simple that the ideas paint themselves in front of your eyes, one actually lives the story with the immortal characters Barak, Silk, Garion, Durnik, Polgara, Beldin, Belgarath and Ce'Nedra. The saga leading to the resolving battle of two destinies, the battle between the Child of the Light and the Child of the Dark, the final conflict between Torak and Garion, is what the entire Belgaraid relates. A must read for a lover of good books and a lover of Fantasy Fiction. No need to be a David Eddings fan to appreciate this...heck, you'll be one at the end of the read..Enjoy!

Review: David Eddings' Belgariad series is one of the masterpieces of modern fantasy literature. I fell in love with his books many years ago, and re-read them to this day. His characters are lifelike and amusing, and written in a very human manner. Every time I read, I feel like I am visiting with old friends. Although Eddings writes conflicts into his story, he writes with an assurance that success will come which parallels the great epics of history. His novels, though not thrilling, are relaxing and enthralling in a more stoic fashion-- you will care about the characters and want to see them succeed.I would recommend this book to the starting fantasy reader, or the reader of modern fiction who hasn't yet delved into the genre. Eddings' personal style and lovable characters have turned me into a dedicated fantasy reader, and I have not yet found his equal among the other authors I've read.

Review: Eddings is a genius. His novels have humor,magic,sorcerers,everything you would want in a fantasy novel. They also have a fair share of fights also. I've only read the first three books of the Belgariad and I'm fascinated! I love his work and hope he keeps on writing.

Review: Eddings is a master of the genre. He is not so much a writer of traditional fantasy as he is a writer of character fantasy. The characters are what make this work so compelling. Every one is modelled in minute detail and realised beautifully. Eddings' wit and flair for pulling the heart strings make this as memorable and deserving a classic as Lord of The Rings.

Review: Every book in this series is a must have. David Eddings is the most masterful story teller ever. He makes you wish you were a part of the story. When you finish this series you must read his other series-The Mallorean and The Elenium . I would have given ten stars if I could have.

Summary: The BEST Fantasy Series I Have EVER Read!
Review: I am from Singapore, and I'm 11 years old. Some scenes in these books may be considered too "graphic" for my age, and I started reading this series when I was 9 years old! Yes, but I was hooked on it ever since. I felt like crying when I couldn't find anymore of his books to read because the library had revamped itself and a lot of the old books had been thrown out. But I saved up and bought the two novels, Polgara the Soceress and the one about Belgarath. READ! Good buy...
