Rating: Summary: Sure hope this tribulation ends with the next book!... Review: I started reading these books when there were three and powered through all three in days because they were so good that I could not put them down. This is saying a lot for me because before I started reading these books I did not really read books for enjoyment. I thank the authors for writing the first three so well! After book three, however, the writing started going down hill. I faithfully have read every one in order and by the time I read "The Remnant", my expectations where not very high. I was contemplating whether or not I should finish the series at all. I would have to say that "The Remnant" is more fast paced than the several before it, but I could not say that it is better. In fact I would have to say that it was wholly uncreative. I'm sorry to say that I even found myself wishing the authors had made the devil and his forces "smarter" to enhance the "realism" and suspense of the book! I sure hope that isn't a sin! If I had a chance to give the authors any advice, I would ask that they "end with a bang" on THE NEXT book. Unfortunately by this time they have made all the "bad guys" of this series VERY BORING and I doubt they could pull it off without a MIRACLE! I have decided the next book in the series will be my last I buy whether or not they end it!
Rating: Summary: Decent Review: I have always been a Left Behind fan ever since I read the first book. This book contain good enough drama, but that last two chapters were the most unique (in a bad way). Jenkin's basically gave the reader at visual rundown of the events to come, instead of having a cliffhanger. Overall the bestparts was the bomb at Petra and the magical healers.
Rating: Summary: Couldn't Put it Down Review: After waiting a year for this book, I sat up all night and read from cover to cover. I just couldn't put it down! The authors really know God's word and how to write a realistic story. I'll have to read the entire series again, just before the next book is published.
Rating: Summary: The Left Behind Series Review: This is one of the best series I have read. I think the Jenkins and LeHaye, have captured the end of times as close as humans could. I was beginning to think with the two books before the Remnant, that Carpathia was messing with them a little, since the 9th book was not very good. The series was feeling streatched too thin. Making money is the reason for writing them, I understand that. But please don't drag them out just to sell the most books. The Remnant looks like they are picking it up again. I sincerly hope so. They are fantastic books, and I know quite a few people that have turned back to their faiths after reading them.
Rating: Summary: The 10th Book of the Great Left Behind Series Review: I love this series, and I am always anticipating the next book to come. After reading this one, I am already looking forward to April 2003. I find these books very fast paced and interesting. Christian fiction has come a long way with this breakthrough series. The Remnant is speeding things up a little in comparison with the last few books in the series. I found this book better than the last couple, although not as good as the beginning of the series. I expect book 11 to be even better!
Rating: Summary: Waiting... Review: ...for the next in the series! I love how each of these books leaves you hanging just enough to eagerly await the next. The Remnant is no different. The characters come alive and I find myself relating to the characters and wanting to know what happens to them, and caring about them, not as characters in a book, but as people. The authors have a wonderful way of showing their idea of what the end times may be like. They stay consistent with their characters, and have an amazing way of making the reader feel like s/he is watching the plot unfold. HIGHLY SUGGESTED READING!!
Rating: Summary: Praise be to Jesus.... take me now lord Review: This is the greatest story ever told by man (if you believe Jerry and Tim are men, I think they are prophets). This book has it all; suspense, God, devil, hell, and action galore. This is what we need more of in the world... good wholesome Christian violence stories. Stories that show kids how they will burn for not believing in the lamb. How can we convince people to believe in our dogma if we can't give them consequences for their actions. This is the perfect holidat gift for the atheist in your home. It will teach them a lesson in the vengeful and murderous side of our everforgiving and loving God. I am glad to be Christian in this time of year, but if things don't start changing to the Christianity side here pretty soon in this country I am gonna have to convert or something. I need salvation and spite in my life. Christians use to be the baddest kid on the block, now it is Islam. They understand religion over there, kill for the lord. Just like the tribulation forces and Nicolae. It won't be long now... Christian soldiers will soon unite and end the world in a firey blaze of glory. Glory be to God and Merry Christmas!!
Rating: Summary: Going Downhill Review: I really loved the first few books in the series, and really liked the next few. The previous book and this one, however, are really going downhill. This book contained a lot of filler and just didn't keep my attention like the books earlier in the series did. I think it's time for the series to be closed out instead of stretched out.
Rating: Summary: I Agree Review: I agree that the books are getting too commercial. There wasn't as much excitement and spritualism in this one. I ended it and thought, "that's it?" If this is how the series is going to end, it will be hard to recommend it to my friends to keep up with it.
Rating: Summary: I've had enough Review: After immensely enjoying the first few books in the series, I have started to find that the last few just plod along. I find myself just turning the pages without absorbing what's going on. It seems as if they are trying to stretch out the series as much as they can. I've decided to stop reading these books.
