Rating: Summary: Romanian Anti-Christ? Review: i haven't read the series yet and probably won't given that i now know that the anti-christ happens to be romanian. i too am romanian, born in the carpathian mountains and my middle name is nicolae. i'm sure the authors didn't mean that the actual anti-christ, when he does make himself known will be from romania, but just want all the readers out there to know that there are some good nicolaes born in the carpathian mountains in romania. that's all i have to say about that. enjoy reading the books though.
Rating: Summary: WHERE'S FRANK MULLER? Review: WE WANT FRANK MULLER! WE QUIT LISTENING AFTER ABOUT 30 MINUTES. THE CHARACTERS' VOICES ARE SO DIFFERENT. THE NEW READER DOESN'T EVEN PRONOUNCE "NICOLAE CARPATHIA" THE SAME WAY. FRANK MULLER NOT ONLY DOES SUCH GREAT VOICES, BUT HE ALSO DELIVERS WITH EXCITEMENT AND TENSION.
Rating: Summary: good but not great Review: I love all of the LB books (though Indwelling dragged a bit) but there were some things i didn't like about this book. First off it jumped a head way to fast and all of a sudden there's only one year left until the Glorious Appearing. Why couldn't Jenkins jump ahead gradually throughout The Mark and Desecration. If he had done that it wouldn't have been such a shock. I also don't like how Carpathia/Satan is portrayed. I liked him better before he was possed by Satan. Before he seemed to be a sneaky tyrant that really lusted for power and had the world in his hands. Now even though he's all evil Satan he acts more like an insane tyrant. He's one dementional and stupid acting. I expect Satan to act worse 10 times worse than Carpathia before he was possed but in these books he seems to be an insane evil tyrant. I don't know, maybe that's biblical. If it is, I pitty those who will be here to see it for real. Also I didn't like how the angels appeared everywhere all the time and protected the Trib Force and predicted things like they were phycics. Maybe they can tell the future but I don't think they'd tell humans. It was a good book but not the best though i do still plan to get them all.
Rating: Summary: The beat goes on and on and on Review: The book moves along at neck snapping speed, which is both a plus and a minus. Had to give the high mark, but I found "DRIVEN" by W. G. Griffiths to be the better read. Christian fiction has finally arrived.
Rating: Summary: It's GREAT! Review: I didn't think these books could get any better, but this one is packed with action from the first chapter and continues throughout the entire book. If you've read the books before this one, then you know what great authors LaHaye and Jenkins are. Obviously, God has blessed them with the artistic and literary gifts to make captivating characters and teach HIS word at the same time.
Rating: Summary: The Remnant Rocks...... Review: Good book, has a messagge that touches the reader.
Rating: Summary: CLOSER TO ARMAGEDDON! Review: "The Remnant" once again continues the journey towards Christ's return. Getting better and better with each book, "The Remnant" is the best one yet. Prepare to be amazed by God with this one! Grade: A+
Rating: Summary: Excellent continuation. Review: This is the best book yet in the series. It is very well written. I could not put it down. I read the whole book in less than 3 days. It is impressive and a great continuation. The previous 4 books were a bit slow in the time period covered. All 12 books will cover a period of about 7 years. The first 5 covered 3½ years. The pervious 4 covered only about a month. This book covers almost 2½ years. It is one that you shouldn't miss. The next book untitled as of now is due in June 2003
Rating: Summary: Not Scripturally Sound and Poorly Written Review: The pre-tribulation rapture is not taught in the Bible anywhere, thank God that post-tribulationism is gaining more of its ground back. The Left Behind series is going to devastate the Church in the last days.
Rating: Summary: The Remnant Rocks! Review: The Remnant is awesome! The authors (again) made it a thriller. I found a few parts a bit sad, but that's just me. :) Overall this is an AWESOME book! I HIGHLY Recomend it to everyone!
