Summary: Good ideas, but lacks unpredictable moments
Review: There are some great ideas ih the book, but...

The beginning of this tale is nonsense. Lacks a really good reason.

And everything was so predictable. There are no real surprises in the book. You just know what's going to happen next.

I hope part II is better

Summary: Comradery, magic, dragons, and intelligent female Character.
Review: This book was definatly a noble and smart book that might take place in the old world but definatly should be a hit in the modern world!
Friendship, morals and magic are what holds the seams of this book together adn quite well if I do say so myself. The plot line is unlikly but not impossible. It's orignal, not like the typical damsel in distress book. It has a strong female lead who's also smart. I can't wait for the next books in the serise to come about!

Summary: An absolutely great read
Review: This is the first book I have ever read about Dragons. I loved it. I am hooked and am looking forward to reading the rest of the series. If you want another great read try other books written by Marjorie B Kellog (esp. Lears Daughters).

Summary: Exiquisitly written historical fantasy!
Review: Though I picked this book up on a whim, I was defenitly not disappointed! The characters were believable and human, and the setting was perfect. I was amazed by Kellogg's ability to weave historical settings into a fantasy story. This book is very much worth reading!

Summary: Fantastic
Review: When my girlfriend gave me this book for my bday, I was expecting it to be like the many others I have read before. I was so very wrong! Once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down no matter what! (really got in the way of work too). I finished the book in two days straight (a record for me with these types of books). And near the end finding out that Rainer was The Friend...surprise surprise for me. The only thing that confused me was the relation between Earth and Erde's names. Does Erde mean Earth in a different language or something?
