Rating: Summary: Disappointing Review: I was excited to know that there was another X-files book make by Kevin Anderson because I love how well he writes his novels.
I was disappointed when I finished the book. Here are the positives and the negatives I found.
On the positive side it was detailed.
On the negative side I found that the main plot of the story seemed a long way away from what was happening. I felt lost and confused at the end.
I really wish that it had not been drawn out so much. I understand that it was meant to build suspense but I didn't understand anything until the last seventy pages.
If you are going to read Kevin J. Anderson's novels read: "The X-files Antibodies
Rating: Summary: One of the best X-Files books ever!! Review: If you are a X-Files fan and haven't read this book get off your butt and buy this. This book is great. It is 290 pages of great detail and suspence. The plot of the story is a man named Dr. Gregory is killed in his Nuclear Reasearch facility one day. Mulder and Scully find black ash and think that has something to do with his death. They try to find a link to his death and other deaths that have this same black ash in the scene. Read this book to get it all. A very good book :)
Rating: Summary: Great!!!.............until the end. Review: It was a good book. It was great until the end. I thought the end was stupid. With all the government coverups in it, it makes a conspiracy lover go crazy, until the end. I would recommend to read it, but let this be fair warning, the end isn't very good, or at least I don't think it is.
Rating: Summary: The X-Files Ground Zero by: Kevin J. Anderson Review: Kevin J. Anderson crafted not only an X-Files masterpiece, but also a science-fiction masterpiece. Ground Zero is an action-packed science-fiction thriller. I love it is worth every cent. Kevin J. Anderson wrote both Mulder and Scully perfectly in tune with their TV personalities. Ground Zero really deserved it's number one spot on the London Times Bestseller's List. IF YOU ARE AN X-PHILE, OR YOU JUST LIKE THE X-FILES, THEN YOU HAVE TO GET THIS BOOK! Ground Zero is a book about a typical X-File, people die under mysterious circumstances on federal property so Mulder and Scully are called in. Ground Zero is pretty much about nuclear weapons, nuclear weapon testing, and one man's revenge. It all starts at a nuclear weapons research facility where Dr. Emil Gregory sits down to work. Eventually his secretary brings him a package. In the package is a ziploc baggy containing a strange black ash and a note that says "for your part in the past". A short time after that there is a power shortage in Dr. Gregory's office. After a minute of panicking, a fireball spontaneously appears in the center of the office and engulfs Dr. Gregory.
Rating: Summary: Like watching the show on paper Review: Kevin J. Anderson has an impecable gift of being able to capture the true essance of a character and bring it alive on paper. Reading this book was the next best thing to actually watching the show. Anderson's words and plot grab hold of your imagination and twist it in every direction it'll go and leaves you begging for more. His next book is certainly going to be worth waiting for
Rating: Summary: Good idea- weak execution Review: Now having read 7 books either written or co-written by Kevin J. Anderson,(3 Star Wars, 3 X-Files and 1 Dune) I can say that the man has good ideas, I just don't think that his writing is all that absorbing. As with his Star Wars books, his X-Files books never quite ring true of the characters. As for the cases, they are pretty good, but it isn't Mulder and Scully who are chasing down the monsters. Of all the new X-Files books, Charles Grant's "Whirlwind" nails the characters of Mulder and Scully, but the case isn't particularly involving.
Rating: Summary: ground zero Review: one of the best x files books ever!!!!! i love the show!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Absolutely Amazing Read!!!! Review: Reading this book was like being in an actual X-Files episode. I couldn't put it down. I am now a follower of Kevin Anderson's work and look foward to what he has in store for the future.
Rating: Summary: THIS BOOK WAS EDGE-OF-YOUR-SEAT SUSPENSE,FANTASTIC ENDING Review: THE BOOK HAD MANY EXCITING AND INTERESTING PARTS. THE BOOK WAS AS GOOD AS THE SHOW,IF NOT BETTER. THIS IS BOOK IS A MUST-READ FOR TRUE X-PHILES.
Rating: Summary: The book is great just like an episode of the tv series. Review: The book is great and it is a must read for any fan of the show.
