Summary: X-cellent
Review: ''Ground Zero'' was a great book. The beginning was slow though.

Summary: my first x-files book
Review: As much as I like Anderson, I felt something was missing from this book, it isn't up to the quality he normally writes, nor was it up to the quality of the show. I cannot quite place my finger on what was missing, maybe it was the 'explanation' that didn't sit well, but Anderson did redeem himself with a fast pace, excellent ending.

Summary: It wasn't as in-depth as I had hoped
Review: Being a X-Files lover and avid reader, I liked this book for it's complexity and the issue it presents (the issue being the plot). It wasn't the same old boring plot where the reader has a clear understanding of the situation and actually knows what the ending is. As a reader, I felt like I was joining Mulder and Scully and I was unraveling a bizarre mystery with them, not as an onlooker. However, I have to say that I would've liked to know more about the victims. In so many episodes on TV, Mulder and Scully's emotions are seen because they are human beings and they are faced with a death (or many) every case. In this book, I saw more emotion from the less emotional Scully than I saw Mulder. Yes, Scully has had her ups and downs, like with her cancer, but the entire series centers specifically on Mulder's problems and his search for the truth. I didn't see that, and I was disappointed because of that.

Summary: I enjoyed it but...
Review: I enjoyed the book. The plot was interesting and it would be interesting to see produced. It seemed quite "epic" in it's proportions. However, as fun as the general plot was, for a novel if felt rather Mulder and Scully "lite." For an X-File book they hardly felt like they were there... or rather they were there but much of their personalities wasn't. The way the characters were shown, they just weren't quite the Mulder and Scully Xphiles know and love. The book is an interesting read but not as satisfying as the X-Files at its best.

Summary: I Enjoyed This Book
Review: I enjoyed this book but i thought i could have been better. While reading this book i felt like Mulder was left out alot. But the book kept my attention. Although i thought it could have been better i reccomend this book.

Summary: One of the Best.
Review: I have read this book many many times and I still get scared. The plot moves very well and keeps your attention. The charactors are true to the show. As far as Anderson's writing, I liked Goblins and Ruins as well, but I'd have to say that this one was my favorites.

Summary: Disappointing
Review: I have to admit that I am a fan of "The X-Files" television series. I enjoy the interaction of the characters, their wit, and the way many things are left unsaid, leaving the watcher to wonder. I read Ground Zero to see if those qualities could transfer to the written media. Unfortunately, I found that the book's portrayal of those qualities was limited at best. I suppose, in the end, only David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson can bring the characters of Fox Mulder and Dana Scully to life. In Ground Zero Agents Mulder and Scully are assigned the case of the mysterious murder of a nuclear physicist. The book isn't horribly written, although it is very simple. I would only recommend this novel to die-hard "X-Files" fans

Summary: The best of the audio books!
Review: I really enjoyed listening to this story. Gillian did a great job narrating the story, and K. Anderson did a great job writing the story. It sure brought back memories of "Teller National Lab's" (aka LLNL). Any X-Files fan should buy this one!

Summary: Could this be the X-Files movie...?
Review: I suppose being the die-hard X-Phile that I am sort of makes me a bit biased. Yeah, well it certainly doesn't hurt. If you've seen the show enough you can almost hear the voices of our paranormal protagonists speaking their written lines here. I found it to be one of the more far out plots that the X-Files has supplied us with, but since the X-Files movie is due in '98 all we can hope is that THIS will be it. This seems to be way too "big production" to be made as a special TV episode, so it would be well suited to the big screen. I enjoy Anderson's X-Files book much more than the other author (can't even think of his name but he did "Goblins" and "Whirlwind"). Anderson seems to really know his stuff about the show, keeping all the character's personalities the way they should be, unlike "the Other Author" who includes unknown characters and even has the audacity to leave out Skinner! Stick with Anderson's books and you can't go wrong. I loved it. P
