Rating: Summary: Wait for the book to come out in paper Review: Really, I've been looking foward to reading the book, but glimmmers did not contain what I wanted to see. You don't get to see Rand and some of the major characters. I say, if you've waited this long for book ten you can wait a few more months to read the book itself. I'm sure that it will be really hot to actually read the whole thing instead of tidbits
Rating: Summary: New material Review: Robert Jordan has done it again! He has finally come out with new material for his Wheel of Time Series. Most of the characters in Glimmers are not seen much or new to the series. If you have not read the Wheel of Time, go buy Eye of the World and start from the beginning. Since Jordan has not come out with a book in about one and one half years, this is a must read. This ebook will give the fans a taste of what is to come in The Crossroads of Twilight.
Rating: Summary: Too many spoiled children Review: Robert Jordan is a master of the art of story telling. This prolouge is a great teaser for whats to come. The story is approaching its climax and I'm eager to see whats in store next. Just remember this and don't pay any mind to the people writing that he should stop. He's producing gold and you want it to stop. I would be content for this story to go on for years. A good story is not a thing to be rushed. If you are a TRUE fan of the series, like I am you'll happily be awaiting many more Books by Mr. Jordan.
Rating: Summary: The Wheel of Time just keeps grinding on... Review: Robert Jordan must have grown up on a farm, because he has milked this series to the last drop. I keep reading in hope of a resolution, but every book covers half the timespan of the one before! Borrow Crossroads of Twilight from the library rather than continuing to feed Robert Jordan's endless cash cow. Better yet, read George R.R. Martin's Ice and Fire series, which features better writing and should actually conclude in the upcoming 4th book.

Rating: Summary: DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! Jordan has lost his touch to greed Review: The book was no where close to the previous nine! Nothing of substance happens! Thanks for everyone elses negative but honest reviews!
Rating: Summary: Typical Jordan prologue - Is this story ever going to end? Review: The prologue is typical Jordan. He does a good job getting the mood ready for the book that you're about to read (in this case in another few months). It really works well, except that it is starting to get old by the tenth book. I'm starting to wonder if this story will ever have an ending. I believe the best thing for Jordan to do would be to bring this story to a conclusion and consolidate his thoughts for a new (much shorter) series. I sometimes wonder if he feels he created a many headed monster. I did enjoy the prologue though as Jordan is a quality writer. But there is nothing really to indicate any real advancement of this story. Just more plot and conspiracy threads. And like I said, it is getting old (and I along with it). Please, Mr. Jordan! Give all of your patient readers a great ending to what has been a good, if way overlong, story! Soon!
Rating: Summary: conflicting e-book information Review: There seems to be some confusion about whether or not this e-book allows printing. I think that it wasn't made clear that although this book does not allow printing or copying , not ALL e-books are subject to such restrictions -- permissions are up to each publisher. If I click the 'Permissions' button in the reader, it says: "The publisher of Glimmers: the Prologue to the Crossroads of Twilight has given you the following permissions: COPY-- You may not copy any text selections to the clipboard. PRINT-- You may not print any pages. LEND-- You may not lend this book to someone else. GIVE-- You may not give this book to someone else." Although TWoT is one of my favorite timesinks, I wish I would have just waited to read the complete book in January.
Rating: Summary: Not sure about prologues Review: This is the first time i have bought a prologe to a book, but since I was really looking for to Crossroads I figured what the heck. I have to admit Jordan is starting to take longer and longer to get his books out nowadays and I understand that it is because the story is approaching its climax and that it is getting more complex but it took almost 3 years to get this coming book out where the first ones only took 1 year. But I digress. Not sure about whether or not the prologue is worth it since it pretty much is initial setting and is pretty slow and when if finally starts to pick up is where it ends. Maybe that is the whole point of a prologue but cmon, I just put down some money, gimme a break.
Rating: Summary: This is the story that never ends... Review: This is the story that never ends, it just goes on and on, my friend. Some people started reading it, not knowing what it was, but then they keep going and going and have to read the next book with 8 bazillion characters and plot threads and each new book that passes without a whole lot of plot resolution. Sigh.
