Summary: Fushigi Yuugi Manga
Review: If you watched the Anime by the same name, then you should be familiar with this book. This installment of the manga introduces (as you've probably guessed from the title) Suzaku member Tasuki.

Summary: Great introduction into manga
Review: This is the first manga/graphic novel I've ever read, and it was fantastic! I'm afraid I can't compare it to anything as, like I said, it was the first, but it's gotten me hooked onto manga now and I have the next two volumes coming already!!

Miaka is your average middle school Japanese student trying desperately to get into a good high school. She's not the brightest or the dumbest, she's average in the best sense of the word and a daydreamer to boot. She and her friend Yui end up in the library and find a mysterious book, which after they read the first few pages sends them into a world based on ancient China. After meeting a mysterious young man who saves them from slavers the two girls are whisked back to their own world, but ever-curious Miaka goes back to the library the next day after a fight with her mother and gets transported back to this world. There, she meets back up with the young man, Tamahome, who again saves her, then gets thrown into a dungeon by the emporer after attempting to prove to Tamahome she really wants his company. And then comes the real surprise as to why she's on this world in the first place!

This book is great, I definitely recommend it to anyone. I'm glad the first three manga volumes are out, this is something I just don't want to end. The fourth won't be out until July (*sad sniff*) but i've already got it preordered. If you like the anime series, or just want to get into another great Shojo manga, this is definitely for you. Handsome guys, a regular girl like you or me (if you're a girl, if not never mind *g*), and a mystical realm: what more can one ask for? :-)

Summary: A must for the FY aficionado!
Review: After watching the spectacular Fushigi Yuugi TV series, it was really interesting to read the manga. I especially like how in every chapter (there are six) creator Yu Watase holds sort of an open forum, talking about her motivation, her character creation, etc. I can't wait until volumes 4,5 nd 6 come out!

Summary: Great entertaining book!
Review: Fushigi Yugi is the 1st manga book I ever bought. It is very entertaining, definitely will make you laugh out loud! I read the summary of the story on the net before I decided to spend money on the graphic novels. Trust me, it is a totally different experience to see the real plot. Graphic novels are a good choice to buy, because you can read more in one neat book, rather than in lots of books, if you know what I mean. In case you didn't know, FY's third volume is already out-"Disciple" check it out. I personally love the art work of Watase Yuu, it has some really sophisticated, detailed graphs, as well as some funny cute ones! I just love the combination! Anyway, it is 100% worth to own the book, and an absolute page turner, oh and those hopelessly romantic scenes^~^ My e-mail address is zsunny218@hotmail.com, if you have any hesitations towards purchasing this products, feel free to ask anything,ok?

Summary: Fushigi Yugi
Review: Now as I have seen from what all of the other reveiws said that Fushigi Yugi was, well a brilliant peace of artwork and so much more. I have the whole series of F.Y. (it's very addicting). It's a wonderful story about two high school girls, Miaka and Yui, who come across a book entitled: The Universe of the Four Gods. As the story continues Yui and Miaka get seperated and, well you'll have to find out for yourself. I reassure you that this story is very unique. It has almost anything you could want in it(romance, tragedy, comedy, ect.) I loved this story and I'm sure you will.

Summary: Excellent story, beautifully drawn
Review: One of the most noticable characteristics of FY is how wonderfully the characters are drawn; many panels are just meltingly beautiful. This makes the contrast all the more effective when Watase moves into super-deformed style ^^. The story itself moves at a relaxed (some would say slow) pace, but draws you in by making the characters meaningful. The focus here is certainly on the developing love story, rather than the mythical background, so I'd recommend this as a character piece rather than for the plot proper. Fans of the anime will certainly enjoy the manga. Finally, Watase's margin notes, describing bits and pieces about the production, add the icing to the cake.

Summary: WONDERFUL!
Review: This is a wonderful, fun book by a very talented artist. A must buy for manga fans!

Summary: a charming story of excelent quality
Review: Not only is this story simply charming, but the technical aspects of it are great, too. Being a pretty regular reader of different types of Japanese graphic novels, I would have to say that Fushigi Yugi was well translated. I know how dissapointed I can get (and I don't seem to be alone) when I start to read a new book I recieved, and the translation is really choppy and hard to understand. It makes me so sad to see the original Japanese text just torn to bits. In Fushigi Yugi, though, I was pleasently surprized that the story, art, and text were all good and quite enjoyable. I hardly ever get to say that! I recommend this series to more mature readers, due to some of the content in the story. Probably for readers 14 and up. Give it a try if you are so inclined. It comes recommended by me. The only bad thing I have to say about it is that I can't get the next books until they publish them (but that's o.k. 'cause I'd rather have quality than quanity.)

Summary: ~~~~~Fushigi Yugi Review ~~~~~
Review: This is absolutley the best manga I've read! It's story line is SO good I could not put it down till the end! It's about a school girl Miako who reads the book 'The Four Gods' and is transported into the book. She must find all seven constalation warriors to have her wishes granted and return home. As I said I absolutley loved this book and would definantley recomend it .It has action and romance. People have compared it to Sailor Moon but that does not do it justice. It is like one-thousand times better. The last thing I can reccomend is to order the second book with it or else you'll be dying to know what happens.

P.S. - If anyone knows when the third book is coming out PLEASE!!!e-mail me and tell me! Thanx

Summary: one of the best manga ive read
Review: i am a big fan of Yu Watase but i have to say that this is one of her better manga. in fact it is probably one of my favorites (that and sailormoon and ayashi no ceres). it is about a 14 year old girl who is a little bit ditzy and has the everday problems that most teens have. she acidentaly ecscapes to a parallel universe through a magical book and finds adventure, friendship, and romance. it is truely a story for anybody to read (even if you dont like the gushy love part in stories but like action better, or the other way around). this book is truely magical! :)
