Summary: Awesome plot, it really shows what DS is like
Review: From the beginning I was hooked. This book is full of action and high powered adventure. It takes you through the rollercoaster ride of the greatest hero in DS, Rikus of Tyr. He is a true hero and I admire him and his courage. As one of my favorite all time boos. I highly reccomend it to anyone who likes high adventure and fantasy.

Summary: Not as good as the rest of the series -- still worth reading
Review: I don't know why, but I just couldn't get into this book as much as I could the rest of the series. The only reason I still recommend it is because the events that take place in this book are referred to in later, better-written, books in the series. Skim through it and get on to The Amber Enchantress. :-

Summary: HECKA SCARY WORLD THAT IS ATHAS
Review: I really enjoy this series. The world of Athas is bleak, unforgiving and downright frightening. This book is chock full of action and fighting. Former slaves and gladiators track down an opposition army throughout the deserts of Athas. It culminates in a battle that is fantastic.

Side note: The halfling assasins are terrifying in this book! I'll never look at a Hobbit the same way.

Summary: A must read for bloody killing
Review: The best book of the PRISM PENTAD. It teaches readers that a general does not only have to have a strong arm, but stretegic planning, as Rikus finds out. An interesting turn out with great plot. Lots of killing.

Summary: Excellent reading for fantasy fans!
Review: The world of Dark Sun gets better with The Crimson Legion. This is by far the best fantasy series I have ever read. From the characters to the action to the unique magic - Dark Sun will never stop surprising you. Rikus, a former gladiator, wages war and allies himself with a variety of creaures unlike the classic elves, dwarves, and humans of most fantasy books on the shelves. Although this is not the best book in the series it is a must read for any serious fantasy fan.

Summary: Very good fantasy book.
Review: This is a tale about a half-dwarf gladiator who led a legion of slaves to freedom. I think the Dark Sun series is even better than the typical AD&D books. Remember when they say to not judge a book by its cover? Well, the cover of this book depicts the COOLEST looking fantasy warrior I've seen!
