Summary: Varley brings his best and worst back to Gaia
Review: Varley's imagination is the best thing he's got going for him, and he puts it to full use in this last installment of the Titan series. That said, I am disappointed in two things; first, he has an axe to grind when it comes to religion in general, and his anti-religious fervor really gets in the way of the plot (although even I found myself laughing at some of his characterizations of Christian sects), and second, the ending has an unsatifying, "deus-ex-machina" flavor to it. But for anyone who read and liked the other two books, this one will not disappoint.
