Rating: Summary: Lucian Fever! Review: At first I didn't know what to think when I saw that this book was available by author Jonathan David. I'd already read The Enemy Mind and was floored by his style and cunning deception, but I didn't expect to find a fantasy written by the same author. This book not only matched my expectations but also surpassed them. This is the type of fantasy I've been looking for. It is definitely not aimed at kids, as it is quite violent, but it escalates and builds toward a fantastic finish.Lucian Shadow: Rise of Corlee starts out in a conventional post-apocalyptic world, but there are no wizards or dragons. The enemy of Zah (The Corlee) has promised bloodshed as they attempt to take control of the lands and practice the blasphemous religion they've been oppressed from for hundreds of years. The Lucian is a pair of twin swords molded in the name of peace, and they were passed to the two super-powers hundreds of years ago as keys to open the Elder's Jaw and release the weapons that had destroyed their world. The Corlee has used their key to unlock the seal, and only Zah's share can either seal it forever. Corlee's plan is to bring their enemy into the magical city of Jadin and destroy them. With no other choice, Zah responds, and the two ancient kingdoms embrace for battle. Lucian Shadow is an incredible epic adventure with a twist at the end that shocked me. Exceptional read!
Rating: Summary: A must science fiction read! Review: I picked the book up and didn't set it down until I was done! Being an avid Margaret Weiss and Tracy Hickman fan, I'm able to tell you that this author's style, depth, and character building skills rate at or above their level. Jonathan David outlines a dark world and fills it in with charcoal!
Rating: Summary: Lucian Shadow:Rise of Corlee Review: If I watch a movie and become so involved in the movie that I can feel the emotions portrayed by the actors, then I feel that it's a great movie. I become emotionally involved and feel loss when the movie ends. Last of the Mohicans is an example of a great movie. Lucian Shadow is an example of a great book. A fantasy, but believable, that is hard to put down. And I mean, hard to put down. From the first page to the suprise ending, the reader is left wanting more. David's writing style is fluid, emotional and gripping. His use of the English language is exceptional. He leaves us wanting more. Thank you Jonathan David.

Rating: Summary: Sweeping epic piece.... Review: Very interesting novel that moves extremely fast as it goes along. Becomes quite tense (and dare I say scary) towards the end. 'Real' characters were a plus as well!
Only one question remains: When is the sequel coming out?
