Review: It's so rare when a science fiction writer knows how to handle sex in his stories. M. Christian, though, seems to be one of the gifted ones. I don't read erotica, as a general rule, but because this book was featured at my favorite SF store, I picked it up. A quick perusal of a few pages convinced me I had to read more. It's one of the very best books I've read in months -- he creates fantastic worlds that are simultaneously believeable and other-worldly. Some of the stories were indeed very erotic but the eroticism sort of crept up on me, which intensified both the story and the sex. Very, very well written. Bravo!

The most intriguing aspect of many scenes was the contrast between the cold and detached environments where the characters interact and the sensuality that infuses everything.
