Review: This is an excellent book. One of a series of 4 books. This first one is alittle out of date now, but it is still a good read. The other are excellent. They all deal with a particular family's climb to the stars. Against internal and external politics. Along the way the meet various alien races and explore the ways human and alien can help and hurt each other.
