Summary: BEST BOOK I EVER READ.
Review: The The Joshua book series books are like a breath of fresh air on a stagnet society. The book is a book that offers the reader a welcomed new beginning on life's road. Once the reader picks this book up , he will not want to put it down until it is finished. I would love to see this book become recommended reading forr children in school as it is a book that offers its readers hope, peace, and love. It is definitely a life-changing

Summary: Shines a bright light on how misled Christians have become.
Review: The hypocrisy of todays churches is exposed and challenged by this clever and needed character created by Mr. Grizone. This may be the most inspiring novel outside of the Gospels in terms of knowing how a true follower of Christ is to live. I would recommend this book to anyone that feels like they don't fit into their church community. Rules of "religion" are made for the people that create them. Joshua shows that the only laws God has are to love and be humble. If we all just followed these basic guidelines, we wouldn't need church leaders to lead us astray.

Summary: This message of love and fellowship should not be missed
Review: I was given "Joshua" by a family member who loved it's simple message- Love the Lord and each other and the rest will unravel itself. The idea that with simple faith and values the problems of the world seem less ominous is one that all people could benefit from. I don't think that the author intended this as a personal attack on the religions or types of religious leaders mentioned but merely wanted to stress the idea that we shouldn't get too wrapped up in petty concerns. This is a wonderful book for any person of faith, regardless of the religion that person chooses.

Summary: Great book!
Review: This is a great story with a wonderfully peacful character that I equate with Heinlein's Micheal Smith and Bach's Don Shimoda. As a writer I was intrigued by Girzone's simplistic story telling. It is one of the best books I have ever read.

Summary: This is a story that cuts to the chase.
Review: I was impressed and moved by the simplicity and wisdom imparted with such a spare, and almost naive, style in Joseph Girzone's "Joshua." I've run across people in person, and print, who didn't get the message of the book or the childlike quality of the narrative. The simplicity of the story, and its main character Joshua, are the real BEAUTY here. Reading the bible, and being exposed to other Christians, I've often been confused or disgusted with the Gospel message that comes across. The bible's non-contemporary writing loses its meaning on me -- and a lot of the purveyors of that message (so-called modern-day "Christians") lose me even more sometimes. Joshua cuts through the crap and shows the Gospel of Jesus to me in a way that makes sense and touches my heart. I highly recommend this to anyone who is tired of being force-fed the message of God, and who wants to see Jesus in modern day terms. "Joshua" is indeed an excellent "modern day parable."

Summary: This book is enlightening.
Review: The context of living the true Christian life is spelled out in this book. A life of peace that we long for is portrayed for us. Living the peaceful life is a quest that few complete.

Summary: the perfect book
Review: I have read this book, and Joshua and the children. Both books have helped me on my spiritual grow. I found some magic on those books.I have imagined how wonderful would be if Jesus were living today among us and how wonderful be being near him. I recomend both books to every catholic looking for spiritual grow.

Summary: Great example on how to live my Christian life
Review: This is a book that should not be missing in a Christian household. I gave it away many times to other people, who wondered what makes Christians do certain things differently. A wonderful example of what Jesus (Joshua) would be like if he would live on earth. It gives me hope and a great model to follow, even without knowing all the bible verses I always wanted to remember. The book challenges me to take time for everyone in my life. I wish they would translate this book into German, so I could send it to all my German friends.

Summary: I grieved when I finished the book.
Review: Joshua was a pure pleasure, from beginning to end. Owning a Christian bookstore myself, I come in contact with many, many books, and have little time to read them. But I looked forward to spending time reading Joshua in the evening before retiring. But when I finished it, it left quite a void. I missed this man! What a powerful movie Joshua would make. Any ideas for the lead? I have a few thoughts.

Summary: It's a how-to book when you find Jesus sitting beside you
Review: Joseph Girzone asks a simple question: what would you do if Jesus is sitting beside you? Are you prepared to recognise Him? You'd think that "fast-paced" and "un-put-downable" are adjectives used to describe thrillers, mysteries and spy stories. Once in a while, a spiritual book like Joshua falls under this category. The book grabs the heart and does not let go. You are forced to choose which category of believer you're in...and that includes the non-believers as well. What I like about this book is it is not a "preaching" book. It does not wreak havoc on a conscience by unsettling the mind with messiah-nic declarations. Many writers require the juxtaposition between sex and violence and herioc acts. But Joshua is a very simple story of kindness, compassion, empathy and love...those which one would like to find everyday...in anyone. Girzone has showed what simple courtesy, good manners and a balanced moral mind can do to even the most hardened hearts. And the reality is some hearts that claim to be open turn out to be the most hardened ones. Girzone twists the story...it's a wake-up call to Christians.
