Review: Ann has got to be from another planet, because she is too deep! I loved the first series of Vampire Chronicles, and this one is my favorite.

Summary: Nice Change of Pace
Review: Rice proves that she is not trapped by one form nor one type of novel. In Tale of the Body Thief, Rice tells a simple 'tale' of Lestat wanting to be what he cannot, human. I love the fact that Rice doesn't hide behind the past or behind a multi-character plot, she shows that she can champion the basic novel. The twists and turns are still unexpected, but true to form. I love how she devles even deeper into who Lestat is now. None of her novels have completely dealt with who Lestat is today like this novel does. I feel that this novel is a beautiful jewel highlighting her unmistakable writing skill.A very serial novel, but the way a serial novel should be done.

Summary: Still just as wonderful!
Review: Anne Rice continues her saga with the same colorful images and characters from her first three books. Lestat, wishing for just awhile to become human again, trades bodies with a mysterious man. But what he finds is far from the sunlit paradise he expected. Instead, he ends up with surprises he didn't expect....and a disaster befalls him when the human in his vampire body runs rampant across the globe. I laughed at Lestat's struggle with being human, then nearly cried at the sacrifice Gretchen tells of. (I am a pianist myself, understand.) David is still his stubborn self, but with a well-written twist that chilled me to the core when I read it. This book really covered all the bases of emotions. And the descriptions are vivid enough to make me feel as though I really am in Miami; an $8 vacation, so to speak. I highly recommend this book to anyone who had read the others. I only hope that Memnoch the Devil will continue this trend.

Summary: Excellent, but I got bored in the first 100 pages
Review: I loved "The Vampire Lestat" and "The Queen of the Damned", and i thought this one would be similar, but i was wrong. It was a very excellent novel with only a few selected characters in it. When I first started reading it, it took me 4 days to get past the first 100 pages. But when Lestat finally exchanged bodies I couldn't put it down. I thought that this novel was the most adventurous than the others. I couldn't put it down, I finished it in 2 days.

Review: This was by far the weakest of the Vampire Series you knew what was going to happen about 200 pages before it did. I have read nearly every other book in the series but only this one did I skip about 100 pages and really feel like I didn't miss anything

Review: I have to agree with becky that David is a bit boring expecally his rammblings with one exeption. and it was Lastat who saved it. david told him his idea that God exploded and that's how everything was made.when Lastat said"Really was God surprised?" I laughed out loud! I also agree that the relationship between Louis and Lastat is one of the best parts of the seiris "You burt my little house didn't you?" "Yes, want to live with me?" come on! that is fantasic! that line to me sums up their whole realationship! In my opinon David should have never been made into a vampire, and the book should have ended with "Keep your vigil little candle, in the darkness and sunshine. Yes for me." but otherwise I loved the plot the idea of it We so vary rarely get to see lastat as a bumbling idiot. We see that here and yet he still manages to keep his smooth air. No it wasn't as.... magical (for lack of a better word)but it was a vary fun read

Review: I found this book to be one of her best! Anne Rice is the master of capturing her readers and bringing them into the book. If you havn't read this book, but are familiar with her books, this is a must read! enjoy

Summary: An enjoyable critique
Review: This is an enjoyable critique about human vanity and greed, as well as how we react to our bodies, our lives, etc. When Lestat "steals" the other body, he finds himself delighted and repulsed by the various aspects of human mortality. Despite the novel's thickness, it moves rather quickly, with more than enough humor and action to keep the characters' observations from making the novel boring or sermonic.
