Review: Jim Ciscell (nee James Ciscell) is a genius. Here's why: He wrote a f'ing epic poem. No other writer on Earth is brave enough to a.) write a new fantasy story, or b.) write it in epic poem form. This is the only guy out there, folks. This is the new game. Most writers these days are too afraid to attempt a fantasy. Not Ciscell. He bravely goes where other writers are afraid to tread. And, at the same time, he makes the epic poem form immensely readable. Even those who enjoy only prose will find themselves deep into the story on the first read. This is truly an achievement.
