Summary: VERY ENJOYABLE
Review: I haven't had a good read or laugh at a book for awhile and this book gave me both.
The main characters in this book were a joy to get to know. I couldn't put it down and I told everyone to leave me alone till I read it all.
Must read for any science fiction/fantasy readers.

Summary: Tried and true McCaffrey, but no dragons!
Review: If I weren't such a McCaffrey fan, snatching up any of her new books (or books she's co-authored) instantly, I might have called this book hackneyed. I read it a couple weeks ago, and I already forget the names and exact circumstances in a kind of blur of child slavery and injustice being fought as usual by the derring-do of an unlikely band of do-gooders. But, hey! If you like McCaffrey, you'll like this book as much as it reminds you of the planet pirate series and the pegasus books. In fact, you'll like it FOR the similarity! If you're new to McCaffrey, you'll find it delightful. And, lucky you, there are all those other McCaffrey titles out there to discover!

Summary: Unicorns are in our hearts
Review: I am a loyal Anne McCaffrey and Margaret Ball fan and I regulary drive my librarian crazy asking her when the new McCaffrey and/or Ball books will be in. I read this one and fell in love with the charecters right away. I am on record as a dangerous person when somebody tries to disturb me when I'm reading a book this good! Acorna herself is the most original person I've ever read about, and the other charecters you don't forget easily. I was crushed when the book ended, but positively thrilled when I found out that there was a sequel! I highly recommend this book to anyone who ever wondered if they were different, because this book shows that being different is what we should all strive for in our hearts, and in our souls.

Summary: A Rollicking Good Time
Review: I was sorry that this book had to end. The situations that the three miners and the unicorn child get in--and out of will have you laughing out loud. A very warm, lighthearted read. Anne McCaffrey and Margaret Ball keep the action rolling until the final paragraph!

Summary: Amazing Story about an Amazing young woman
Review: I just finished reading the book Acorna: the Unicorn Girl, and I really loved it. I like unicorns, so that was the first thing that attracted me to the book. But then, the story itself hooked me. I wondered why Acorna's parents were being pursued by those Khletvi warriors, then I shared the frustration of her guardians when they couldn't talk some sense into the woman who couldn't see that Acorna was different, not deformed, and after feeling fear for her life when the Piper decided to kill her, I felt satisfied by the ending. I would like to see Acorna learn about her past, and I'd love to learn a lot more about her and her kind. So since this book is to be the first in a series about Acorna, I plan to read a lot more about the adventures of this amazing young woman.

Summary: I am delighted.
Review: I am delighted with the latest book from Anne McCaffrey and Margaret Ball. The unusual creation of Acorna leads the way for a romanic creature from our past to join our tales of the future. Were there really Unicorn creatures that visited us those many centuries ago? The time I spent reading this book was of great value to me so I am careful of what I read. I am eagerly waiting for the next installment in the life of Acorna and her 'uncles'. Down with the Piper and the evil that is often hidden is all socities.

Summary: Loved the witty and funny repartee!
Review: This story will get you hooked to see just where it is going to go. The relationship between the three miners is well thought out and their finding the baby Acorna will remind you of Three Men and a Baby. They raise the baby and themselves and have all kinds of adventures while doing so. Kezdet will also remind you of The Temple of Doom. Mix them up and use some of the best dialogue that I've read in a long time and this story becomes very enjoyable. The ending does not seem to be forever and if Margaret Ball and Ann McCaffrey ever want to do a sequel, I'm all for it, because the character of Acorna is warm, intelligent, loving and has a streak of stubbornness that makes us want to find out what the future will hold for her
