Summary: Purely genial, wonderfully touching, flabbergasting!
Review: It is amazing how harmoniously all the previous comments echo! Should I add anything? This book is a must have and has been my favorite book from far since I first read it 17 years ago. It conveys such a universal message! Moreover, Atlantis and lost civilizations being one of my passions, this books had a very special echo for me.

PS I can t believe it! I ordered it for my American girlfriend too!

Summary: La Noche de los Tiempos
Review: The english title for this masterpiece needs to be changed. I read this book in spanish as a kid and could never forget it. I re-read it countless times and always enjoyed it, I'd love to learn french to read it in its original language. You would not be disappointed.

Summary: LES GENS GELÉS?
Review: THE ICE PEOPLE?

Geesh. I just finished reading this INCREDIBLE book in French. Incroyable. One of the best stories I've ever read. Whoever picked the English title needs to be shot immediately, however.

Seriously, I LOVE this book. Read it. Now, and quickly. It's an incredible story, well-written, and definitely worth whatever it takes to find a copy. Suggestion -- original language version can be purchased and is still in print. If you don't read French, I suppose you could settle for the English version.

Summary: Life was perfect
Review: This book was the best book I ever read! I read in portuguese and english and both times I realized that life could be perfect. We are able to have a perfect world as the book show us, but we are also kind enough to destroy it. My hope from the book was beliving that life was once perfect!! Great book, great history, great science!

Summary: 25 years and counting...
Review: This book, of the thousands I have read, is the most memorable, most beautiful, and most influencial in my life. I read it in 1971 when I was 11 years old and I have never found anything that comes close to its "realness". I have looked for a copy for over 20 years now. I hope I get one here.

Summary: THE NIGHT BEYOND TIME
Review: This is how we think this book should be called in english. La nuit des temps, La Noche de los Tiempos...not The Ice People. Too cold for this heartwarming book.

It is not just a love story. It is the BEST story we have ever read (and we have read quite a bit). We have not found a more touching story, a more beautiful description of what love should be.

She says she does not have any words to describe it. I say I just made one pause reading it: when I threw the book to the front wall, crying. Our E-name tells it all.

Summary: Excellent first Science Fiction Book!
Review: This is the first SF book that I ever read and started my lifelong science fiction reading habit. A love story mixed with mystery, science fiction and tension kept me hooked all the way through. Couldn't put it down.

Summary: A Rare and Beautiful Story
Review: Twenty-five years ago, my brother gave me The Ice People to read, and I never forgot the story. Recently I've been trying to get copies of the few SF novels I read as a teenager and could not remember the title of this particular book. Doing a search for the character's names (Paikan and Elea) led me to a French fan page, and eventually here. I'm not surprised to see this novel has haunted other readers as well. It's a rare and beautiful story that will stay with you forever.

Summary: Very good
Review: Very creative timeless approach to the problems posed by capitalism. It should be made into a film. We can volunteer to write the screenplay
