Summary: as far as actual writing goes, this is the one
Review: As far as the actual banter of the author, this one actually entertained me. The first three books didn't not have that much action with the aliens, most of the alien action was centered around the all too predictable dreams. I think steve perry tried to fool the reader into thinking the dreams were real way to many times, taking a lot of dignity away from his writing style. Bichoff however never at any point insulted my intelligence, and all of his plot twists were on point, and at no point did the story lose continuity. By continuity i mean having information be stated early in the book, and then having that information magicaly changed later on in the book to best suit the authors attempts to continue his work. i.e. from alien harvest: the 3 people take shelter from the killer storm inside the alien hive, and once it gets too thick and they decide to run out of the hive, the storm is magically passed or lightnened or who knows. The characters are good, the plot is logical and it stays realistic as far as the previous three base the series to be, and there is a great deal more colonial marine banter and action. To agree with an earlier review, if you like A2, this book will suit you the very best.

Summary: Best comic. Worst Novel (Okay, second worst.)
Review: Based on perhaps the most well written Aliens comicbook to date, one wonders how David Bischoff could screw up so badly. Good-bye morality tale of a business man gaining his humanity, hello "I'm Ripley in disguss" macho female marine who wants to kill bugs. Could of been - should have been - a great novel, but is anything but. Only good point, nowhere near as bad as Aliens Vs Predator: Hunter's Planet.

Summary: Starship Troopers? Not.
Review: Bischoff may be right that you'll like this book if you liked the Starship Troopers movie. But just as the Starship Troopers movie was a pale imitation (almost a parody) of the book, Bischoff's book is a pale imitation of the Alien movies. As for comparing himself to Heinlein or Haldeman, that's a joke. This is pulp fiction at its mindless worst. Avoid.

Summary: As usual, another disappointment.
Review: I am once again disappointed by an Alien book. I wouldn't even read them, but my brother is a big fan and I like to see what type of books he's reading. I love the human alien combat scenes, I really enjoy the slam bam action, but these books need more character development. I am not a hormonal teenager like by brother, I don't need a bunch of gratuitous sex, which this book had plenty of. Instead, I want characters that I like! With these Aliem books, I haven't found a single character that I actually liked enough to care whether they got torn apart by Aliens. So, all in all, I'd say these are OK books if you like violence and sex and don't want to be involved with the characters at all.

Summary: Fine, Well done book
Review: I found this book to be very well written. Since i've read all but three of the aliens/aliens vs. predator books ( working on nightmare asylum now, going to get labyrinth right away) I liked the fact that you got to feel the characters and get to know and begin to like them before they went and started the blood lust. In a previous review by another reader (i will not say his name) he claimed it was boring and would not complete it, i personally found that i enjoyed the book because it was not all blood, death, and carnage.

First off, i did like the way it was structured. It gave the plot and setting away in the beginning, so you weren't confused.

Mostly, i liked the characters. They were at times likeable, and seemed to be quite realistic.

The combat was great aswell, but considering there was only about fifty pages of fighting, i really wont say much. Dont want to give anything away!

All in all, it was a very fine read, take my advice, and check it out.

By the way, ALiens earth hive, and nightmare asylum are pretty good, you should consider them also, but forget about female war, it sucks.

Summary: BEST aliens book!!!
Review: I have read ALL the aliens vs. predator books and all of the aliens books except rogue and music of the spears, and this one is ABSOLUTELY the best of them all! Genocide has the best action, coolest eqipment, as some other reviewers said the best and most entertaining writing, and DOESN'T have an overused plot!(more than i can say for any of the other books, even my second favorite, labrynth). Most of the other books could only be enjoyed by aliens fans, but this one is actually a GREAT book which could be enjoyed by all!(so could labrynth by all horror fans, but as i said b4, it's an overused plot). if you are reading the aliens and/or predator books as i am, this is the MOST important one to read cuz it's the best.... read it

Summary: Alien:Genocide is like STARSHIP TROOPERS
Review: If you liked the recent movie STARSHIP TROOPERS, you'll like this book. You'll notice that I dedicated it to Joe Haldeman, author of THE FOREVER WAR. That book, of course, is a descedent of Heinlein's STARSHIP TROOPERS. I was thinking of both books when I worked on this one.
