Rating: Summary: An intriguing look into what makes a man. Review: If they could make dinosaurs come back from DNA, what would happen if they tried the same thing with Jesus'?
Michael Coleman is a convicted killer on death row who is given what he believes to be DNA from the blood of Christ. His behavior radically affected, he goes back into society. He is transplanted into the Federal Witness Protection Program and unknowingly put to work for the wife of a cop he had killed. He is also stalked by the father of another victim, a man obsessed with seeing Michael die, n
Rating: Summary: Is faith more powerful than science? Review: Is faith more powerful than science? This book, although fiction, explores that thought through a very real pursuit. I read the book in a day, not because it was light reading, but because it was gripping. The climax isn't what you'd expect... it's even better! Do I recommend it? YOU BET! Hey - I wouldn't even be surprised if they make it into a movie and Mel Gibson plays the lead. :-)
Rating: Summary: Anybody see Terminator 2 Review: It was hard to resist picking this book up and giving it a read. The idea was very catchy. The book went along fine (aside from being a bit short for my tastes) until the end drew near. The ending plot degenerated into something almost exactly mirroring the plot of Terminator 2. I wont draw the specific comparisons so as not to fully ruin it for all of you, but I'm sure any who read the book and have seen the movie will agree.and also... Too much scientific data? Surely not. It was all intro level genetics. The previous reviewer must have flunked a few bio classes in college.
Rating: Summary: Peretti had it right Review: The plot of this book is very intriguing indeed, but when I finished the book, I was a little disappointed. The story could have been much better. I am forced to agree with Frank Peretti-I wished he would have thought of it-he would have taken the same story and turned it into another hold-your-breath masterpiece.
Rating: Summary: A thriller Review: This book is pretty good---not stupdendous, but not bad either. Although it is billed as Christian fiction, compared with other Christian fiction books, there is not much of the spiritual aspect--bible verses, etc. This is Christian on the idea of WHO we are, and how our better nature can be brought out. The idea of a blood/DNA transfer to bring about genetic engineering is pretty current; although I will agree with another reviewer that at times the technical aspects of the book were just too heavy. And it's hard to write a book with a lot of technology in it because it is dated so quickly. The characters were pretty well written. I loved the baboon, Freddy; and thought that Katherine's trials were well written and believeable. I would recommend this book.

Rating: Summary: AN A+ THRILLER!!!! Review: This book was truly amazing! Not only did it help break the controversy between gene-determined behavior, it went deep into the human mind... from the simplest pleasures, to the deepest, darkest secrets! I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a great novel, or anyone who wonders about the concequences if blood from Christ were ever found.
Rating: Summary: Captivating and thought provoking Review: This book will get your mind running whether you are a Christian or not! It's a suspense thriller, a murder novel, a love story, and a thought provoking drama all in one! One of the best books I've read, and I read a lot! : )
Rating: Summary: Very good ending Review: This reminds me of the Jeckyl and Hyde syndrome that believers go through.
Rating: Summary: Superlative...Profound...Powerful!!! Review: This was my first journey into the world of Bill Myers, and I can't say enough about how compelling a journey it was!! I was glued to this book and literally couldn't put it down. Oh, sure, there were those times I had to fight myself not to pick it up..you know, like at work, on the road, wherever I could find a spare minute. Myers writes with incredible power and conviction, and you come to really care for his characters, and in particular Michael Coleman, who doesn't convince easily, but takes a chance by having the blood of Christ put into his own bloodstream and genetic make-up, thus altering the way he views the world and people. Of course there are the villains, and you actually care for them as well. Then there's Katherine Lyon, his sponsor, who he ultimately discovers was one of his victim's spouses, and the story blows you away!! I've been in the criminal justice system for over 20 years, and I could completely relate to this vicious killer - Michael Coleman - and Myers description of his profound change almost brought tears to my eyes and softness to my heart. There are other subplots as well, but I won't spoil it for you. This book is relatively inexpensive on Amazon, so you can pick it up without breaking your pocketbook. If you want inspiring, this is it. If you want powerful, riveting, and the rest, this is it!! Five stars can only minimize what I'd like to give it - how about 20 stars!!
