Summary: Awesome Concept For A Sci-Fi Novel
Review: A friend of mine suggested this saga to me. It took me a few months to read all three books, but this was time well spent. Christopher Hinz keeps the story flowing, there aren't a hell of alot of boring parts to this saga. The story envelopes new things in each part that are just outstanding. You must read this saga if you like Science Fiction.

Summary: The most creative action filled book I've ever read.
Review: An excellent book. By far my favorite science fiction book. I've read hundreds of them and this one is the best

Summary: Believe these reviewers. The book is great.
Review: Book one of the paratwa saga, Liege-Killer, is astounding. Liege-Killer taps into a "hard-to-find" style of storytelling; the use of "minor" stories to explain the bigger picture-hence, The historical Book of the Rigors-by Meridian. Meridian is a paratwa progenitor, a teacher/philosopher that not only instructs in the arts of warfare culture, but teaches us what and how we should feel under the pressures of battle and thought. Moreso inviting, however, is the over-all storyline; it jumps back and forth from past to present to explain why and how this futuristic Earth evolved-WE DID IT TO OURSELVES. Not just your usual "nuclear holocost" theme, but yes, it was a war. And possibly the best concept in this novel[there are lots of'em] is the notion that this war was unto itself...a war to destroy WAR. From North American "Jeek-Elementals" to the Russians' "Voshkof Rabbits", Liege-Killer is filled with amazing ideas and notions. It is simply a blend of fantasy, adventure, action, philosophy, and mystery-[who /what is the man called Gillian?] And if nothing else convinces you of my 5 star review, at least read the story to discover what happens when a disgruntled Paratwa, and his/her Tway, begin "Flexing"-owz!

Summary: Great for those who finally decide to read books
Review: First off this book goes well beyond a simple 10. A friend turned me on to this book, and I am so very glad he did. I am not going to bore you by regurgitating the plot. I will say this however, I HARDLY ever read books, and I could not have picked a better book to start with.

Summary: An outstanding read. Ranks up there with The Hobbit
Review: Hinz creates a fascinating story and places it in surroundings that the reader can easily visualize. One of the most deadly, pre-apocalyptic Paratwa assasins has been awakened from stassis and turned loose in the peaceful colonies to wreak havoc. The only solution is to fight fire with fire and a hunting duo is also brought out of stassis to halt this deadly assasin. Hinz weaves a wonderful tale. This book is to sci-fi what the Hobbit is to fantasy; can't-put-it-down reading.

Summary: Believe these reviewers. The book is great.
Review: I bought Liege-Killer in its first paperback printing back in the late eighties. I recall reading the book soon thereafter. And for once, the recommendations were right. This book is shockingly good. Liege-Killer is the story of a cadre of bioengineered assassins who return to harass humanity 500 years after being banished to deep space. The assassins are unusually original in a way I'll let you discover. The story is set in a post-holocaust future, where people, if I remember correctly, live on orbital platforms high above the burned-out earth. I can't remember whether they travel back and forth to earth. Anyway, the world is fully realized, with space pirates, cryogenic stasis, and plenty of details to flesh it out. When the assassins return, two five hundred year-old hunters are brought out of stasis and put to work on the problem...

Summary: My favorite book EVER!
Review: I found this book while browsing my library back in 1989. I have been a fan of Christopher Hinz ever since. Liege-Killer has become my favorite book of all time, and with good reason. It is fast paced and has a wonderful plot. Hinz 's writing is very flowing and easy to read. You don't get caught in the middle of long, tedious details and explanations. I would tell everyone to read this book!

Summary: A refreshing reminder of great sci-fi
Review: I have been looking for a new sci-fi book to hold my interest and this is it. I had resorted to finding ALL of the old Frank Herbert stuff I could find, until I found this. I finished this book in 2 days, I couldn't put it down! I disagree that it wasn't intellectually stimulating. There were only one or two things that caused me to groan for their predictability, but on the whole, I was really kept guessing (and I read a LOT of sci-fi). There was one major mystery that I just had to give up on and wait to see what would develop. It's full of surprises and I was so wrapped up, that I was actually thinking of the ramifications of some of the surprises in amazement! Great tactical science, intrigue, and computer hacking.

Summary: Must Read
Review: I picked up the Paratwa series after reading the comic book based loosely in the same world (also written by Hinz). The comic was cool, Liege-Killer blew me away. The opening chapter in the blasted out ruins of Philidelphia, creeped me out something bad. I knew right there I had stumbled upon one of the best science fiction seiries I have read. Period.
