Summary: Riviting!
Review: This whole series has been wonderful. All the books are page turners. I got a late start reading them, beginning only this summer. As each one ended I was eagarly awaiting the next to arrive. Assassins, however, has left a real clifhanger. And did I hear we have to wait until May for #7! What will I do with myself? Great action. Great characters. Great storyline intertwining. Great Biblical acuracy (if you're keeping track)... May?

Summary: There are much better endtime thrillers out there
Review: When you have a topic as rich with possibilities as this, readers should expect: #1 terrific writing, #2 strong characters, #3chills, thrills and hair curling suspense. Unfortunately, the LEFT BEHIND series disappoints on all levels. This is very lightweight stuff, people, in my opinion. The very finest of all endtimes novels, without question, is the quintessential Judgment Day suspense thriller, THE LAST DAY (Glenn Kleier, 1998, Warner books). If you want to read a gripping, intelligent and thought stimulating drama that will alternately fascinate you, amuse you, scare the living bejeebies out of you, and keep your mind boggled till the wee hours, there is none better. LAST DAY is the ultimate Last Day experience, and if you haven't read it yet, you're in for a soul-quaking treat. Not a one of these LEFT BEHIND novels comes anywhere close.

Summary: THOUGHT PROVOKING SERIES
Review: Of all the books I've read this year, The Triumph and the Glory is the only one that kept me on the edge of my seat like these Jenkins/Lahaye Left Behind books. They are SUPER books, I know some people criticize the writing and the characterization but the WHOLE CONCEPT is where the appeal lies. Well worth reading, these books make you THINK, which it seems to me is one of the primary purposes of literature. Keep 'em coming gentlemen.

Summary: Mind Shaking book for believers and non-believers alike
Review: This book and the 5 previous were AWESOME! All you have to do is look around you at todays world and then read the books. Bingo - HELLO. These events could happen anytime. Perhaps the Lord is preparing everyone through these books to be ready. I know it has snapped me into action. GREAT BOOKS....Everyone should read them from start to finish. I can't wait for the next one.

Summary: Exciting and Inspiring !
Review: As with the other books in the series, a great window to the book of Revelation. When finished with this last book, I re-read Revelation and could see all the characters and action of the series, especially this last book. Can't wait for the next one. I am going to re-read the series if I can get my books back.

Summary: An Excellent read, which holds your attention
Review: While I either bought or borrowed the other books in the series, I started as number 43 on a "wait list" at the local library for Assassins. The book was worth the wait, though. While the reviews of previous events can be irksome, they do help to pull together the full story. The depictions of the Horsemen were well done, but most intriguing with Assassins is the "who shot JR" finish. If I count right it could have been any of eight people, including the three less loyal potentates. Will be anxious to learn the "rest of the story," and then to move on into the Great Tribulation, come next February.

Summary: Assassins was the best in this series.
Review: Assassins was excellent. It was both scary and exciting. The most frightening thing about it was that these events will likely take place. It makes me really want to go out and tell people about the Lord so they won't be left behind.

Summary: This book had some disappointments
Review: Actually I give this 3 1/2 stars, the lowest of the books so far. I found some of the tie ins from this volume of the series to have flaws. For readers who have not read the book and don't want to know what happens please skip this review as I will give away part of the plot: The section with Dr. Floyd was weak. I felt cheated that the authors were using an unlikely plot device to bring a new person into the Tribulation Force. Even if Floyd had somehow disregarded what was happening to himself (how could he?), why wouldn't he have died in peace at home instead of risking a trip to the hospital that wouldn't help anyway? The change in Rayford's nature is troubling. I feel the authors are undoing the strength of character they have built for him. Some of his tirades don't even make sense to the circumstances around him and seem to suggest someone who is losing his grasp on reality. It is more likely his views are due to demonic influence than a special annointing of the Lord. I can understand the shock of seeing his wife dead from book 3 and how that could cause an unnerving, but it wasn't directly due to anything Nicolae had done. Which brings me to my next thought, why would a Tribulation Saint want to kill Nicolae? After he's dead he'll come back more powerful than ever and with a very bad attitude. Shouldn't the focus be on reaching and saving as many souls as possible instead of taking an action with no positive results? And how could Buck & Chloe have decided to bring a child into the world? They are on the front lines and there is a good chance that they and their child will die a horrible death or perish from starvation. Can't say I follow their thinking since it will only get in the way of the very tough decisions they have to make. I also have some minor quibbles. I have appreciated the way the book has dealt with issues of skin color by making it a non-issue in tribulation times as it should be in Christian society. I was disappointed with the offhanded comment Dr. Floyd made using an outdated racial term to deflect attention from himself. I found it to be a troubling comedown from the high stance the authors had been taking. Even as a joke it was not funny and unnecessary. Don't the characters ever honestly talk to each other? I'm getting tired of the way they keep hiding the truth from one another about what is going on in their lives or what they are trying to do. Haven't they learned that the best way to fight the common foe is to share with one another a complete and honest picture of what they know? At some point I expect Chloe to have a heart to heart talk with Buck about how he is failing in this regard. The Pope Peter thing was a letdown. If it was that easy to off him why the build up? Or did it have to wait until the announcement could be made in front of an audience where mass hypnosis could be done? If Nicolae's power is so effective he can convince 2,000,000 people, why couldn't he simply have bent Peter to his will? Surely Peter wasn't protected by the mark of the Lamb. The ease with which the tribulation force is able to monitor Nicolae seems a bit simple. For a world leader of such incredible power he's not very bright when it comes to building in position redunancies in his power structure that would catch such strong infiltration. Even petty dictators know this. This may seem like a harsh review, especially for the high rating I gave, but I have found the difficulties to be building with each successive book and I'm sure I am not the only one. If the authors truly do read the comments placed on this page, then I want them to know the shortcomings that I see.

Summary: This book is an awesome combination of action and suspense.
Review: This book is an awesome literary work. It has both action, suspense, human emotion, all with biblical truth. I would reccomend the series to anyone, even the unbeliever.
